This mix is dedicated to the ancient old growth giants that give life to us all in a plethora of ways. It was recorded live at a Greater Groove ecstatic dance fundraiser for Last Stand West Kootenay, an organizing based out of the Kootenays that advocates for the protection of all old growth forests, the sustainable transition of the forestry industry toward value adding, community-led, small scale, selective and second-growth logging. As we continue moving forward on this path of self-destruction via unlimited consumption and extraction, the signs will become more and more clear. Floods, fires, landslides, heat waves, erratic weather, and hurricanes will continue to increase in frequency and intensity. The mass extinction will continue to accelerate, and industry will continue to place blame on various species as it attempts to divert attention away from the real culprit, humans. When will we begin to recognize the oneness that connects us all in this beautiful web of life, and act on it? I thank those who stand on the front lines, who sacrifice everything for the trees, animals, mosses, us. Don Mescal is a French-Italian DJ living in Montreal and has been DJing for the past twenty years. His work extends as the co-founder of the music label and collective Cosmovision Records - created by a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada. This Montreal-based multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary artistic platform stands for an all-embracing cultural approach, art and the universe itself. Don Mescal has toured around the world and got the crowds dancing in festivals and clubs as Boomtown (UK), Burning Man (USA), Piknik Electronik (Montreal) and La Java (Paris), Bluedog Café (Mexico), Lucky Coq (Australia). Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he puts forward new ideas on the table, brewing an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavor.

Combining a myriad of styles and vintage flavors in a joyfully flamboyant vibe, the DJ recorded this 148th edition at home during a customary afternoon. Using an extensive repertoire, from Folktronica to Slow Techno & Tribal, he put together a selective musical voyage and channelled a more upbeat cadence throughout an 80-min mixtape, which oriental flavors and a bit of new wave influence will be sensed with a contemporary perspective linked to electronic music and a positive spiritual flow.

Hallo liebe Liebenden,

ein neuer Podcast steht für euch bereit.
In dieser Woche an den Decks, Hrrsn (Harrison) aus dem Hause Stil vor Talent.
Der aus Mönchengladbach stammende Wahlberliner ist wohl das, was man weitläufig als musikalisches Multitalent bezeichnet. 
So ist Hrrsn nur eines seiner Pseudonyme, unter denen er veröffentlicht. 
Der Produzent, Komponist und Sänger liebt es auf seine Produktionen zu singen, so ist er mit einem Zweitprojekt namens Tender Games bei Suol unter Vertrag und tourte schon bei Fritz Kalkbrenner im Vorprogramm mit.
In einem Gespräch mit uns sagte er, dass die nächsten Veröffentlichungen anstehen, darunter eine erneute Ep auf Stil vor Talent und eine Ep zusammen mit der wundervollen Bebetta.  
Wir sind darauf natürlich sehr gespannt und werden bis dahin, voller Vorfreude, seinen Beitrag zur Zug der Liebe Mixtape Reihe genießen.

Some of his latest releases such as "Sophie" and "Yamana" caught Black Coffee's sets and charted Nº1 on his latest Mix Set for Spotify. Ibiza Summer 2019 will find him as Pacha Ibiza resident with Elements every wednesday and also hosting Esto es Tulum Mexican Festival World Tour.
