Norwegian producer Crussen returns to us after a splendid remix of Satori' on the 'In Between Worlds' LP some months ago. The Oslo artists is back on tastemaker Underyourskin and he's come back with an exquisite four tracker strapped under his arm. Also featuring on the release is noted producer Viken Arman, who provides his own intricate rework. Grab a taste from the release exclusively on When We Dip today as we present the idyllic lead from the record 'Breakfast In The Hut'.

This EP should give you an insight into one of the freshest producers out there at the moment, the German @lukasendhardt. He grew up among the most diverse kinds of big and small percussion instruments since his father is a Latin jazz percussionist. He always have felt connected to rhythms from cultures that are not his own. In one way or another, it has led a life deep in several rhythms. 
His catalogue includes much-loved work; most obvious thing you will hear is the focus on Brazilian rhythms. Lately Lukas had been very fascinated by the religions based on Yoruba traditions, especially Brazilian Candomblé. By the looks of it, we can understand how Babalaô EP was born. In Yoruba culture Babalaô (Babalawo) is the priest dedicated to the worship of Orunmila-Ifá, epiphany of divination. 
In that light, Lukas has created a work peppered with catchy tunes to provide us a cultural extrapolation. Therefore, this is not just about synthesis between two musical cultures but also between relaxing chill out music and highly energetic themes. All highlighted by his own hallucinogenic filter.
His mother, Burga Endhardt, painted the art that draws the cover. We can notice some similarities between EP & artwork: widely warming, organic taste, kind of surrealness too. It includes different layers, natural forms and shapes. We think that is a picture-perfect match.
Since it is deep, dubby, laid-back but always driving, the four tracks are geared for the dance floor. Nevertheless, certain elements reveal a hidden fringe where Lukas are serving contemplative realness. Besides the three original tracks by Lukas, we also have a penetrating perspective channeled in @arutani’s remix, delivered as a striking extra for the listener.
In short, the EP is a useful indicator for where Lukas is at right now stylistically and reflects as a direct correlation with our motto: slow is the new fast and awesome too

I've always wanted to play the Cello Song very late night/early morning but really wanted to still maintain a bit of energy.  I wanted to put together a transitional piece from the late thump in to the early soothing.  This one track came out of a mix from a live set.

These are 2 of my favorite tracks from 2 very different genres.  Jose Gonzalez "cello song" and Robert Babicz "nuda".

Contrary to the songs name, this interpretation of a traditional Afro-Brasilian candomble song, appears to be forged from mythical lost amazonian gold. Recorded in Sao Paulo with an allstar cast of Arteria FM (on vocal duties), Salvador Araguaya (caressing the Viola Caipira) & Spaniol (stroking the Baixo), steered by Nicola's production prowess, this quartet delivers a melodic enhancement to the summer sun. As if the sun wasn't shining bright enough already, the single comes backed by a remarkable remixer ensemble procured from their duties as fellow sun-worshippers : Xique-Xique's Dragonfruit Mix is a wondrous journey full of surprising leaps and bounds, alternating between hypnotic electronics and organic song structure. Saving the best 'til last he raises the energy whilst keep the beats low and the vibes ecstatic. HIT ! Crussen's creamy cocodub raises the energy whilst concentrating on a dubbed out groove, (that) classic Crussen bassline and carefully sliced & re-appropriated vocals. Finally in-house poster-boy Carrot Green's Granola mix combines disco, deep grainy bassines, juicy bells and signature flourishes into a bowl of magical mind-whirling hip-spinning edible sex. Auf dem Festivalacker ist @jpattersson auf das Werk „Protetores & Orixás“ von Xique-Xique (@djdunwich) aufmerksam geworden. „Als erstes habe ich den Song in einem Set von Monte Cumbia im Salon de Baile auf der Fusion 2016 gehört“, erzählt der Produzent von Acker Records. Die einfachen Harmonien, die fast mantraartig immer wiederholt werden, gingen ihm danach nicht mehr aus dem Kopf: „Ich schrieb Xavier aka Xique-Xique und fragte, ob ich einen Edit aufnehmen kann. Er war direkt einverstanden und los ging es." (...)
