Brothers in Law, are set to follow up their Gray Days single from earlier this year with a new album called Hard Times for Dreamers on January 30th via WWNBB (and CF-records). For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.

The gifts of our 10th anniversary last summer are still spinning on our decks and now we also celebrate catalognumber 10 with our vinyl label.

As a reminder: we released a double-CD-box with exclusive tracks of our favourite artists. One of these releases is a special gem: Henrik Schwarz’ first house-track since ages. Our label insists on re-releasing this knightly accolade with a remix.
"Take Words In Return" will be released as a “Return Version” end of February and will also contain a vocal remix from grandmaster Carl Craig!

Schwarz’ original is a vocal-based house-anthem, which emerges from his musical finesse to gasp for air in form of a folk-inspired hookline. After a percussive break the record's to-the-floor efficiency is unleashed. This is where Carl Craig's remix begins. From dreamy to sawing synth-lines, he utilizes the original's massive potential - to 12 minutes.

The first 500 copies will be pressed on 180g white vinyl!

As a special gimmick, we release Carl Craig's instrumental mix on a seperate vinyl which will be limited to 500 copies.

Jake Fairley AKA Fairmont has been pioneering forward thinking electronic music for well over a decade now, working alongside heavyweight labels such as Border Community, Traum Schallpletten and most recently My Favorite Robot Records who released his third artist album November 2012. The LP, ‘Automaton’ received
broad critical acclaim with praise heaped on it by publications such as Mixmag, DJ Mag, Groove, Tsugi and Faze magazine and select cuts from the album began to show up in the charts of a number of leading DJs. Now Fairmont & My Favorite Robot Records have decided to collect together a series of remixes of some of the leading lights from the LP, reworked by some of their favourite producers, the results are here on ‘Automaton Remixes 1’ with a 2nd remix package scheduled to follow later this year.

The EP kicks off with ‘Last Dance’, a key cut from the album which now gets overhauled by remix heavyweight Ewan Pearson. Pearson’s remix credentials needed little introduction having been a go-to man for the likes of Depeche Mode, Metronomy, Hot Chip etc as well as numerous dance acts. Here he takes ‘Last Dance’ and works it into an epic ten minute electronic anthem as only Mr Pearson knows how, simply stunning!

Following hot on his heels, Ryan Crosson picks up the remix baton and sets about transforming ‘Alkaline’ into a brilliantly understated slice of leftfield techno with a light and airy feel to it. The third mix sees Factor City's Undo remix ‘Fate’, turning in a slo-mo electro influenced piece of electronica that marries Fairmont’s song structure with some intense and moving production. The penultimate mix sees recent MFRR convert Arthur Oskan gets to grips with ‘Tiny Diamonds’ delivering a remix that pulses and purrs with it’s arpeggiated synth
lines bringing a truly uplifting quality. Finally we close the package as we started it with remix overlord Ewan Pearson delivering an instrumental version to sit against his remix.

With the recent Jori Hulkkonen remix package fresh in the memory and now this stunning selection of Fairmont mixes it’s clear that My Favorite Robot Records are becoming very adept at picking the right remixer for the right job. ‘Automaton remixes 1’ is a must have collection for all lovers of quality electronic music.

Silicone Soul's Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie have lined up a succession of exciting releases and events to mark ten years since their subterranean parallel project and label, Darkroom Dubs first unleashed its uniquely idiosyncratic take on house music.

Charged with the purest distillation of the edgy early hours spirit from which house music was originally forged, Darkroom Dubs has become renowned for Silicone Soul's walks on the dark side and for showcasing likeminded producers, drawn to mining the deepest substratas with a freedom to explore in; the ultimate bastion of deep electronic dance music.

The first of the labels celebratory releases comes from Sebo & Madmotormiquel. The duo have been reigning supreme in the deeper download charts over the past few months and their 'Don't Eat' (Katermukke) track was a dancefloor favourite last year. The URSL label bosses recently saw two of their latest productions, 'Everything Will Change' & 'Slow', feature on John Digweed's 'Live In London' 5CD mix on Bedrock.

Their 'Don't Wanna Go To' EP features three deep and warmly textured productions. The title track is a creeper with its spoken vocal and popping synth work. 'Take One Step Back' matches smooth rhodes keys with sumptuous acoustic guitar and goosebump-inducing vocal. Final Cut 'Honey Bomb' steps up the tempo and increases the funk. Twisted electric riffs and echoing chimes working brilliantly together to create a dancefloor gem.
