Casey Hurt is a third generation ex-preacher from the backwoods of Oregon. At age 11, his mom bought him an acoustic guitar from a garage sale and within a month he was writing songs and playing music at Sunday service. With the help of a friend, Casey started a church for young people in a nightclub when he turned 19. Growing the congregation to 1,000 people in its first year, the church was centered on music featuring old hymns and original songs Casey wrote.

Casey walked away from the church to find liberation from his past after struggling with his relationship to God. Focusing his life on music, he recorded his first album in an RV storage unit with a $100 microphone and a broken keyboard. His song, Come to Me, got placed on the TV show, One Tree Hill.

Since then, Casey's original songs have been featured on TV shows including Criminal Minds, Pretty Little Liars, and The Village. Casey currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two dogs. He writes songs all day and bartends at night.
