Mieka Dovey is a child of the world- born in Denmark, raised throughout Europe and in Virginia, and now living in New York City to follow her life-long goal of becoming a world-famous singer. 

Dovey is a multi-talented singer, dancer, actress, musician, who would much rather perform for you and entertain you than explain what her music sounds like. Because she's lived all over the world and experienced all different sorts of cultures and styles of music, Dovey's sound is a unique blend of several different musical genres. Her music incorporates the driving melodies and funk that make Motown records so lovable, with soulful vocals, catchy Pop beats, rockin' guitar riffs, and lyrics that rival those of the best heart-wrenching ballads out there.

Having grown up performing in musicals, singing competitions, piano recitals, and dance competitions since the age of four, Mieka Dovey is truly at home when she is on-stage. Seeing her perform is like watching the world's greatest one-woman-show - she'll make you laugh, cry, dance, or make you want to get revenge on that boyfriend who cheated on you. She'll 'take you to church', she'll dance for you, she'll give you whistle-tones, theatrics, high-belting, and 'riffs' for days. Most importantly, Mieka Dovey is a real person, singing about real-life experiences in a larger-than-life way, and you're bound to love her voice and her personality.
