MOSCOW046 sees Italian talent Manuel De Lorenzi make his debut on Moscow Records. His 2019 release on Moss Co. smashed the clubs all of that summer, so we were eager to welcome him on to Moscow.

The release opens with Edoardo, a tribute in name to Manuel’s dear late father. In a mad twist of fate, the catalogue number 046 corresponds to his year of birth. The track itself rolls along thoughtfully, with catchy melodics and vocal snippets - perfect for those transition moments when a dance floor is ready to get moving.

Next up is 6th January, a rolling upbeat groover. Soulful vox and chords dance in a never ending groove reminiscent of a late afternoon on DC10’s terrace.

The EP closes with JJ Is Good - a much more serious affair. Heads-down drums and bass play with trippy vox and chords in an early Freak n’ Chic style. The Hook is a mind-twisting 4D knocking sound that is guaranteed to freak out any dance floor!

James brings his own deep-tech touch with a nice vocal filled with lovely themes on 'Olympia'. The dutch remixer, Jesse Jacob (who had releases a labels like: Heavy House Society, Elrow limited, Lacuna rec. MetaFloor, Ovrdose deep, Rawsome Deep, Blind Vision and his own Airtime) adding a super groovy flavour remix! This version's bass line will be a bomb on the dancefloor for sure...

'I Love Kecel' is a more classical deep house stuff which is dedicated to the legendary hungarian club (Club Korona Kecel) where James was resident/promoter and purchaser for near 10 years, representing lots of epic parties with names like: Marco Carola, Dubfire, Seth Troxler, Sasha, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Guy Gerber, tINI, Nick Curly just a name of few.

Jennings. who had a massive releases at Pitch, Orange, Rawsome Deep, Swerve, Flirt delivering a more deeper, epic and atmospheric sound.

Building on the momentum of the first release in 2020, Frame Music kicks off 2021 with another standout new EP, this time from Ash-R who serves up two originals while Marcellus steps up to remix. 

Ash-R hails from the east end of London and has played key clubs like 93 Feet East, Ministry Of Sound and Distrikt Leeds, all the while going with his own signature stripped back and sleek house sound that is utterly fresh. 

His excellent opener Maureen is a slick and punchy house cut with icy hi hats gliding over a rubbery groove. Deep yet driving, it is electronic house for the heads thanks to the spaced out pads and infectious sense of groove. Marcellus has released on labels like Elrow, Toolroom and VIVa MUSiC and he steps up to remix with more drive, toughening up the kicks and layering in some extra bite to the percussion. 

Last of all, Hannah gets more dreamy with balmy pads circling round the kinetic drum programming. Spoken word vocals add atmosphere, the bulbous bass keeps pulling you in, and the whole thing is perfect for up close and personal back room parties. 

These are three super stylish minimal house cuts for those who know.
