From the first time I listened to Annie Smart I was fond of the warmth of her voice and the fresh feel of her songs. My first collaboration, if you can call that that, was putting a simple guitar track on one of her wonderful songs a few months ago. That was clearly not enough. So I've had to imagine a lot of my awkward layered with her voice to see if she could get any good out of it.

The truth is that, as always, she has done a wonderful job in the melody that I send her.

Thanks also to Sander Heerings (Wane of summer) who was kind enough to master the song.

Sunshine Tomorrow

A couple of years ago I was looking for royalty free video material for another tune when I found a old silent movie, Alice in Wonderland, from 1915. Those fantastic images, full of naif beauty,  inspired me a piece about dreamers. That old version is still there on YouTube. This is a new version for violin with a great interpretation of Rosin Dust. The more we collaborate, the more enthusiastic I am of her lyrical sounds.

Casino Moon are undoubtedly an exciting band. Go to a gig and witness the rich song-writing talent and energetic, addictive melodies combining eclectic sounds of folk and Americana. It’s a unique sound that will leave you wanting more.

Although recently conceived, this musical journey stretches back many years. Experimenting and developing traditional folk patterns around the power of the rhythmic picking guitar, combining modern, cross-genre influences. Not an easy feat. The result combines some of London’s finest musicians with accolades including appearing on BBC 6 Music and performing at major festivals.
