I laugh when I think back from when I was so foolish.

I’ve robbed some places, and I’ve smoked some pot,
I did much more to prove I’m someone I’m not.
I wrote some songs about things I hate, I traveled around from state to state.
I know now that I was so naive.

And there was this girl, yes of course a girl.
Wait a minute, there were a couple if girls.
I liked them a lot but  I was rejected. I hated my life I was so offended.
I know now that I was so naive.

Next thing I knew I was I my twenties, time flew by I needed something steady. 
I got some jobs, quit them all, I toured some more, and I’m sleeping on floors.
But I was still sad, it made me mad I did more drugs it got really bad.
I turned my life around, when I left this town, life’s not that bad, I think ill stick around.
I know know that I was so naive.

I laugh when i think back from when i was so foolish.

Growing up ain’t so bad.
