We are happy to bring you D//C018 - “Golden Era” by Lemon Future. Steele Kempton, aka Lemon Future, draws upon a multitude of influences to create music that is danceable, poetic, colorful and human. One of his main inspirations lies in the realm of visual art from the impressionist and surrealist era. Impressionism provides themes of immediate impulse and freedom, apparent through visible brush strokes. Kempton prefers to keep the compositional form of his music open to evolution, and includes audible human elements in his music, or audible brush strokes of sorts. He strives to make music that has an aura of human playfulness, combined with a surrealistic interpretation of club music. “Golden Era” finds him doing just that.
