Originally released in 2003 in Europe, Mute released the album in 2004 in North America to critical acclaim. Included in https://soundcloud.com/pitchfork's Top 200 Albums of the 2000s, Dead Seas was noted for what https://soundcloud.com/filter-magazine called an “organic component that coexists along with the machines, giving them a warmth few acts have been able to unearth.” This was the last album featuring Nicolas Fromageau as a member of M83 alongside Anthony Gonzalez.

Their compilations EP1 and EP2 have boasted seminal summertime numbers from Ruf Dug, Cottam, Rob Amboule and more. Now, Gottwax's forthcoming EP3 consists of four new tracks cut on bright orange acetate by Ponty Mython, Krywald & Farrer and Bonar Bradberry – and a welcome return for Appleblim. Relishing in our fortune to have a first listen, it is the four-four iridescence of Appleblim's "Phosphene" that stands out most. An epic homecoming for the Bristolian producer who has otherwise kept relatively quiet as of late, setting sail suitably on the third Gottwax ship.

EP3 drops via Gottwax on 16th April.

Nostalgia with a twist - Casual Connection brings a freshness to the Disco, Funk & RnB gems that he so expertly curates. Sampling, editing and re-working classic tracks, his productions are respectful of their origination while bringing something modern and inventive to create a genuine and unique signature sound. 

Casual Connection's, aka Lukasz Ru-Kasu absorbed music from an early age as if by osmosis. From age 8 he grew a passion for music and now has been actively DJing since 2002 and producing since 2014.

Since he started producing back in 2014, Casual Connection has been named in Traxsource's Top 100 Nu Disco artists for 7 consecutive years. He has also been featured in DJ Mag, DJ City, Warner Music's Cool Accidents and gotten over 65 #1's on Hyppedit.

As a DJ, Casual Connection has built a strong following in his hometown, Perth, as well as playing gigs in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Queensland, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia (Bali) & Splendour In The Grass, Club MTV, RnB Friday's, Listen Out Festival, Spiltmilk Festival, Groovin The Moo Festival, VIVID Festival.
