Other than the very few occasions I have played records for an audience, I usually approach mixes like I would have private mixtapes back in the day: my tapes were always themed and included selections of music I was listening to, both old and new, as well as a few of my own tracks. Wales' @artschoolgirlfriend enlists composer-turned-producer @casuallyhere this month to remix the recently released lofi number 'Softer Side'.

“I've been a fan of Polly's music for a long time and 'Is It Light Where You Are' is one of my favourite albums from the past year so it has been an absolute honour to get to remix 'Softer Side'. The album and Polly's vocals in particular feel like a calm pool of water to dive into and I wanted to keep that tone at the core of it," said Casually Here on the rework, due out on August 5 via @fictionrecords.

To make the video for 'Slow Down' I projected tropical fish tank videos on youtube into a bath, splashing the water around with one hand and then filming with an iPhone 5s at 120fps in the other. I then slowed down the footage and edited it in Ableton. I really like the 'analogue'/practical digital effect which I'd have no idea how to make in CGI which ties in with the musical/visual ideas behind the record and the artwork of giving organic breath and movement to digital and a digital edge to the organic/analogue.
