“In this live I wanted to express different facets of my sound, there are stems of many new productions that will be released in the future. I tried to combine everything with the sonic aesthetics of Opificio and I think I reached a good compromise between drum n bass, IDM and techno. I hope it can evoke at least in part the emotions of that night.”

Capodanna is an Oslo based DJ, and has been a dedicated dancer for as long as she can remember. As an aesthetic voyager she traveled through a vast territory of Electronica's geography before something clicked once she allowed herself to be seduced by the deeper realms of Techno. The visionary soundscapes, the organic flow, the layering and the dynamic balancing of tribalism and futurism - Deep Techno encapsulated all that she was searching for.

Being surrounded by talented and experienced DJ's it was natural for her to take the step towards the art of collecting, selecting, mixing and recording. Capodanna is today a well known face in the Oslo underground, and has shared her love for deep, trippy technoid beats on festivals such as MO:DEM (Croatia), Ometeotl (Mexico) and Soria (Norway).

The same sun shines into the house of two unsuspecting souls, whose front doors play a game of hide and seek. The game is over as soon as their eyes meet. Jarra translates to neighbor, evoking the dance of side-by-side homes and their dwellers glimpsing fragments of each other’s lives. Through effusive downtempo, Shkoon re-ignites a traditional Iraqi story, one that sings of neighbors falling in love, weaved with melancholy and celebration, transposing of the aurora of a simpler past onto the poignancy of the present.

Stories travel through eras and peoples, carried by those who conjure them. Jarra comes alive to the tune of Shkoon’s vocalist Ameen alongside his fellow countryman the gypsy Violinist Maher and the German Musician Thorben. The remixing artists infuse folklore with evocative modern soundscapes; Nacim Gastli’s progressive passion, Boshoco’s frenzied grooves, Keybe Segg & Pandhora’s emotive deep house heights. They all explore a different facet, with words, sounds, gestures and signs of the past coming alive as a musical tale is revived for dark and light dance floors alike.

A missed flight and a chance encounter triggered a very pleasant stroll down Memory Lane. The sounds you are hearing are two hours worth of field recording, capturing a ride through Berlin and a brief pause in a library, condensed into eight minutes. The only synthesis involved is a subtle sub to give the experience a little fluff in the low end. 
The first attempt sounded dark and shadowy, which is not to say that those aspects aren't always present in every experience, but in the end I managed to represent the side of the memory that I choose to focus on. 
With a clear intention and a little bit of effort you can bring light into almost any circumstance. 
Stay curious.
