My earliest memories of music would be growing up In New York. I was born in Brooklyn and the earliest years of my life I had mom and pop to thank for exposing me to different styles of music from Jazz, gospel, rock, etc. Pops had me with him late night recording his album at Electric Lady, which was the studio Jimi Hendrix had built. I was maybe 5 years old. And his band rehearsals were in our 2 bedroom apartment. That's why the love of music runs so deep. But I'm just loving being creative. I produce original tracks as well as sample based tracks basically flipping the sample so it doesn't sound so much like the original. And I will try to flip something in different ways so I'm experimental with the craft. I don't wanna just approach it the same way everytime. I feel the best is yet to come.

Rather then to conform himself by the music industries standards, Ken-C (born Kendrick Cole) has been formulating his own sound and own techniques to launch himself into a different breed. Dominating with his ability to put heart and soul into his music with his own tongue twisting lyrics and producing his own beats, Ken-C is flooding the underground in the Midwest with his music until he hits mainstream. 

   The 33 year old Ken-C was born in Chicago, growing up in Milwaukee had more then his hand full of struggles to encounter. Growing up so much like a lot of other rappers out there, Ken-C had a few more challenges then most. Influenced by being forced into living on the streets by age of 14. Ken-C had to do whatever it took to learn to survive by his self and by learning from the older generation he came across on the streets. 

   The thing that separates him from all others is that he started writing at the age of 9 and recording at the age of 15. By the age of 17 he began creating his own beats by master minding the techniques since no one was up to par with his style and taste. He then began to start producing for various notorious underground artists. After such a massive out cry for his style needed by the streets he began to expand himself drastically. 

    Now with hundreds of produced songs and beats under his belt in just a matter of a few years, the hustle continues for this young eager but mostly talented young artist. He continues to produce better then he ever thought possible still amazing himself. His search for other artists to join his Production Company, Kentageous Productions...of artists of all genre's and more heart then most others to join the movement. The industry has never seen anything like what Kentageous Productions offers, not only for the fan's but for the artists affiliated with the Company as well. 

    He is now also with an independent lable based in the Twin Cities Skool Boy Entertainment which is founded by Ryan Feiler(Menece) and Tyrone Willliams(Catalyst) in 2007 and has the movement behind him to succeed all expectations. With over 20 mixtapes in his catalog, there's no telling what he's going to do next. Time will tell before he becomes the next best thing.

“This is my life, something’s wrong with how I’m living” is a part of the catchy chorus sung by Alpoko Don, a multi-talented Hip-Hop artist from Greenville, South Carolina. Alpoko Don, aka Randrickas Young has sat Twitter, YouTube and Facebook afire with his unique, tongue twisting, mind boggling punch lines and melodies. After one listen you will begin to understand why he say’s he’s “your favorite rappers, favorite rapper, favorite rapper.”
Alpoko Don has yet to release an album but that’s not slowing him down. Social media has made Alpoko Don a household name. His video’s have gone viral and have been viewed close to nine million times. Sitting on his front porch with nothing other than a pen and his fist, Don creates rhythm patterns using the banister railings of his porch. He’s a one man band spitting raw emotion, religious inspired and thought provoking lyrics that some may say is reminiscent of DMX or the late Tupac Shakur. His love for music started around the age of 13 when his elder brother introduced him to rapping. Don quickly realized he was good at it and never looked back. His knowledge of scriptures and faith in God was a result of his grandmother, Emma Young. Every Sunday she took Alpoko Don to Antioch Baptist Church in Greenville. The teachings and time spent at Antioch have resurfaced in his music. In a song entitled “Letter To God”, Alpoko gives his perspective through a conversation with God. Alpoko raps "I don’t know, I don’t get it Lord talk to me. How can I have faith in something I just can’t see? This a small example son listen very closely, you can't see oxygen but you believe you can breath."
Despite his roots in church, Alpoko Don has had his fair share of legal problems which resulted in him serving eight years in prison. While incarcerated, he began focusing on his musical talents and made a vow to pursue music relentlessly when given another chance. Shortly after his release, a cell phone video of Don’s porch freestyles were uploaded to YouTube. The video displayed Alpoko Don doing what he loves and affectionately refers to as making movies. “I don’t even make songs, I make movies,” he says. “ I am a complete artist.”

Alpoko Don is a true southern man, filled with charm, charisma and an addictive signature laugh. His favorite sport is fishing and he enjoys reading old western books and watching cartoons, no scary movies for this guy. Don doesn’t listen to much rap music instead he enjoys Sam Cooke and Anthony Hamilton. When you visit South Carolina’s landmarks and tourist attractions, don’t be surprised if Alpoko Don’s porch is listed as one of them, he’s putting Greenville on the map.
