His trusted skills have been reigned in to remix seminal drum & bass classics including Shy FX’s ‘Bambaata’, Die’s ‘Clear Skyz’, Commix’s ‘Talk to Frank’ and Ram Trilogy’s ‘Gridlock’ as well as Bloc Party’s UK top-5 hit ‘The Prayer’.

Equally praised for his DJ skills, Break maintains a consistent touring schedule that sees him playing across the globe on a weekly basis on the stages of the world’s biggest drum & bass institutions; from Fabric, Detonate, Bedlam, Warning, Metalheadz and Hospitality in the UK to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the breadth of Europe, playing headline shows or back2back sets with the likes of Die, Goldie and Dillinja.

Launching his own label, Symmetry Recordings in 2006, Break honed and polished his sound with each single and released his fist album, also entitled ‘Symmetry’ in 2008. Featuring forays into ambient, dubstep, funk, hip hop, house and soul amongst an arsenal of sure-fire drum & bass, ‘Symmetry’ earned Break an army of new fans from outside the d&b world with tracks picked up by the likes of techno legends Laurent Garnier and Josh Wink. 

Two years later Break has risen the bar further still via his second LP; ‘Resistance’. Featuring collaborations with No U-Turn mastermind Nico, Bristol’s DJ Die, super-duo Calyx & Teebee, DNAudio cohorts Silent Witness and Survival, Shogun Audio’s SpectraSoul and vocalists Kyo and SP:MC, the album offers a glorious journey through the spectrum of Break’s styles and influences and a clear indication of where his talents will lead him next. 

The next chapter for Break is signing new exciting artists to coincide with his own output on the label. Keep a keen eye on Symmetry as this is the label for the real sounds of Drum & Bass, absolutely no compromise.

Our influences are too numerous to mention here, but we love anything with a groove and good sound design or production. We like music with a sense of humour, and anything which makes you go, "Shit, how the fuck did they do that?"

Our Live show is much broader, ranging from Dnb to Techno and from Trip-hop to Electro. We have tried to forgo the current trend of running everything from a laptop, and instead follow in the footsteps of Orbital and The Chemical Brothers by doing everything with hardware. It's a lot of hard work and it's expensive, but it's also more fun, and gives us an excuse to buy silly amounts of gear and call it an "investment".

Starting his career in 2010, D&B producer Andrey Eastcolors, from St.Petersburg Russia, has been consistently busting out a series of increasingly successful releases on labels like Critical, RAM and Hospital Records. His track Toys, released on one of the most respected British label, RAM Records, smashed it to the top of the Beatport chart and even got played out in the legendary Nightlife compilation by the one and only Andy C himself! In 2015, after a long and hard slog, Andrey released his debut solo album Lighthouse, becoming an instant hit with listeners. Driving forwards with music production in 2017 Eastcolors dropped a massive new tune Keys exclusively released on Swiss label Demand Records. In a flash, this track stole the hearts of thousands of D&B fans, with plays skyrocketing on Spotify and Apple music. Not only there, it also got added straight away to the UKF playlist. The pure sickness of Andrey’s work gets proven time and time again through invitations to make guest mixes for BBC Radio 1. Touring through Europe, this true artist always shows off the best of D&B sound in his DJ sets, mixing rolling dance-floor beats with soulful and deep vibes. Eastcolors is like a city who never sleeps. He's currently assigned to a plethora of new music and projects, and is looking forward to the future, continuing to please his fans with his magic. Bio:
The collaboration between the two elements of Catalyst was always inevitable.
The duo first started to play together in rock bands back in 2000, Ed on drums and Nick on guitar.
Their vast musical tastes have always been a constant influence on the pair, from guitar based Queens of The Stone Age, to the more ambient Aim and Hip-Hop vibes of Manchester's Grand Central Records. Having come across DnB along the way, the duo started to focus their attention on creating their own sound. Their understanding of production was established at Confetti Studios, Nottingham where they both studied Music Technology.
Over the past 10 years the duo have established mutual respect for one another’s styles and creative input and it is this that has helped to initiate the acceleration of the Catalyst elements to react and create deep rhythmical vibes.NW
