A model of perseverance and grit, Brxxks (pronounced “brooks”) was born and raised in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Guided by his mother, a music teacher, and his father, a former Black Panther, Cyrus developed an ear for music and impact at an early age. He began to develop a musical skill set for himself first as a producer then as a writer, rapper, and singer.
