Already at early age Simon, born in 1994, hosted small illegal parties in his bavarian hometown. Still, at the beginning everything from Rock through to Hip Hop was played. 
But the type of music he would eventually fall in love with only crystalized itself later on. On his first Festival as a visitor it took him no to the main stage, but to the smaller stages where acts such as Henry Saiz or Christian Valera dominated. 
In time, Simon started to hosts his own raves and produce songs. At the end of 2013 his first big success arrived: He was allowed to play at the scene club Hetten, which is famous for first-class techno parties. A couple of months later, he proved his talent at the Grüne Sonne Festival, where the audience was dancing to his beats. In the year 2015, he quit his job in the automobile industry, after which he decided to go to Australia. Ever since, Simon also sonicated people at small raves on the red continent. 
The highlight: A performance on the Wonky Queenslander floor at the world famous Earth Frequency Festival in 2016. After 2 Years in Down Under Simon moved to Berlin, and his main focus is more into Producing Music...

Schon im frühen Jugendalter veranstaltete Simon, geboren am 29. März 1994, kleine illegale Partys in seinem oberbayrischen Heimatdorf. 
Gespielt wurde anfangs noch alles, von deutschem Rock bis Hip Hop. 
Doch in welche Art von Musik sich er verlieben würde, stellte sich erst später heraus.

Auf seinem ersten Festival verschlug es ihn als Besucher nicht an die kommerzielle Mainstage, sondern an die kleinen Bühnen, bei denen Künstler wie Henry Saiz oder Christian Valera die Taktgeber waren.
Mit der Zeit fing er an eigene Raves zu veranstalten und Tracks zu produzieren. 

Ende 2013 dann der erste große Erfolg: Er durfte im Szene Club Hetten auflegen, der bekannt für Technopartys der Extraklasse ist. Wenige Monate darauf zeigte er sein Können auf dem Grüne Sonne Festival und lies das Publikum zu seinen Beats tanzen.
2015 kündigte er seinen Job in der Automobilindustrie, denn ihn verschlug es nach Australien. Simon beschallt seitdem bei kleinen Raves die tanzenden Mengen auch auf dem roten Kontinent.

Hi, I’m Fred. 
I live in Bundoran on the west coast of Ireland. I am into everything from swimming, longboarding, camping and half a dozen mugs of tea a day. I share my life between county Donegal and Brittany, where I work as a lecturer and a researcher in Rennes University. My research interests mainly focus on surfing in Ireland, Irish sea folklore and Ireland's surf economics. I want to share with you the wealth and distinctiveness of the stories Irish surfers have to tell about the Wild Atlantic waves, and try to locate them within this island nation’s rich national cultural landscape. Heavy wave surfing is a major focus of my work, but not only: any story, from young or old, related to the waves and ocean around Ireland, any personal narrative relating experiences of surfing here, hunting, discovering and riding new waves, is a story worth telling and sharing.

And that is what got me started on a journey collecting tales and legends from surfers along the west coast of Ireland.
In my search of eadaíls – of the bounties of the sea, I have come across many a tale telling of watery treasures: stories of fishermen, explorers and sailors of the day of yore, and tales of wave hunters, surfers, creatures from both the land and the ocean. The stories I am collecting are building up into a beautiful body of cultural material that is unique to Ireland’s daoine na mara – the people of the sea; a collection of traditional beliefs, knowledge, language, customs and rituals, and stories of a community, and that we will call surflore. A group brought together by a common love for the ocean, their deeply rooted connection is a sense of a tradition, and of the processes of acquiring and transmitting it through the generations by word of mouth and all the modern forms of storytelling. 

So here is a little insight into Ireland’s surflore: a renewed form of Ireland's sea folklore – a long ignored founding pillar for Ireland's identity as an “island nation”, and a collection of the values, the passions and the knowledge of the men and women riding the waves and living to the rhythm of the tides and of the swells and to the moods of the winds. It is also a rich and exciting journey amongst the treasure trove of narratives, tales and legends all along the coast of Ireland.

 The “Daoine na Mara – Tales from the Green Shores” podcast series is a place to store and share the surflore so that, like the seanachai of times gone by, we may not only collect but transmit the tales, and carry the voice of the people of the sea and help their lore grow strong and bountiful!
