The emerging collective of artists, led by Raz Olsher, which form Bassically have been causing a stir with their humanised interpretation of house music classics. Their awe-inspiring live performances have gained the support of Kerri Chandler, Shadow Child, Matthew Herbert, Âme and DJ Zinc, in addition to landing them releases on labels such as Noir Music and Black Butter Records. The group now return to Fossil Sounds with ‘Introducing 02’ which includes remixes from Futureboogie’s, Bristol-based producer Maxxi Soundsystem and the multifaceted artist Chris Watson and Vamos Music’s Ollie Weeks joining forces. ‘Walk Right In’ swings with tight kicks, bubbling bass, rattling shakers, soulful vocals and subtle key before Maxxi Soundsystem’s remix goes darker with thumping sub-frequencies, shuffling synths, reworked and chopped up vocals and slick hats. Finally, Chris Watson & Ollie Weeks’ remix drops an energetic rhythm, euphoric builds, bouncing bass and shimmering percussion. Bassically ‘Featuring 02’ drops on Fossil Sounds on 28th November 2019.

On "Human Beauty" the spanish staple Kid Simius and Tender Games join forces to create a powerful single.
Kid Simius, who is known for his production in a lot of different genres and collaboration with many well known acts like Paul Kalkbrenner, Magit Cacoon, Marteria, Siriusmo, has been shifting more toward dance music this year and with Tender Games - who celebrated a string of well received goovers in 2019 - they created "Human Beauty".
The track is a homage to 90's rave culture:  a bass-heavy, emotional track that makes you dance as well as think. Pitched vocals fuse together with a layer of synths, arps and a floating jungle break. Lyrically the song revolves around the ever shifting standards of beauty, aestethic and the fact that chasing trends is a never ending rat race.

Mexican artist Mateo Gonzalez alias Bufi alias Theus Mago kicks off his 2020 vision with a three tracker, 'BAQA', on PETS Recordings and musically continues to deliver dance floor oriented music in the style of his 'Osla' EP, which included the omnipresent and well-received track 'Stadium Flutes'. 'Rave Dave', the B2 or EP's closing track is no exception regarding the aforementioned and is an instant classic. 'Classic' because the sound selection as well as the arrangement take you back to the early nineties of the last decade, to the die-hard rave days, to 'rave Dave', the stereotype of a raver, dancing all weekend but still being fresh on a Monday. 'Rave Dave' stands out due it's lush bass line or a 'thundering drum' combined with echoing ligneous sounding chords still giving the take an industrial vibe thatis emphasized by a mental melodic part in the middle part before the trippy intially introduced chords and a vocal guide the listener through the end of the track and right into a newly approaching musical thunderstorm. 

Theus Mago's EP 'BAQA' will be released on PETS Recordings on January 17th, 2020.

As the club’s technician, Joris Biesmans (aka Biesmans) has been an invaluable fixture at Watergate for the last five years. A true audiophile, when he’s not tuning WG’s soundsystem to perfection, he’s building modular synths and honing his studio craft.

Having recently quit his technician job to focus on making music full time, he’s a new addition to the WG agency roster and follows suits with an impressive debut EP on the label, after releases on Correspondent, AEON and Adana Twins’ TAU. The title track ‘Electric Love’ is a chugging slice of electro, marked by lush key progressions and an attitude-drenched vox from newcomer Idorski. Marvin & Guy Amplifier are tapped for remix duties and inject the original with a celestial melody line primed for end-of- night moments. ‘Technician on a Mission’ is driven by a polished bassline that modulates throughout, while 80s synths give it a retro-future stamp. ‘City Boy’ is a modern day synthwave gem, reinforcing the breadth of sound espoused by Watergate Records.
