Working on the cover album has been super fun, and this songs was the 5th one I decided to work on! Making the little solo in one of the bridges was really cool to arrange. I might post about 3 more songs before the album comes out, too!

Night Walking

Dragon Train was composed during a time when I was still recovering from a depressive period of burnout that had essentially killed my creative drive for two months on end.
This was initially conceptualised in my head as my own take on a Falcom-style 90's era RPG boss theme with a prominent rhythmic drive, but initially I was paralysed by great trepidation and the idea that this might be way past what I was capable of.

And yet I was finally able to realise this with some motivation from friends and the DTM Central community, though it wasn't without its issues: midi hardware would struggle to synchronise correctly, I had to record parts during a heat wave, and some bugs in my DAW had suddenly messed with parameters of certain tracks without me knowing how to effectively fix them.

Still, I'm very happy with how this arrangement turned out and it was a great test drive for some of my custom drum kits, as well as some custom Roland XV patches I commissioned from a good friend.
I hope listeners will find some genuine joy in this, as it is most certainly a labour of love.

...Yeah here I am again writing a credits theme for a MaGMML3. Using (for the most part) the same sound setup I was using for 48H's... except more. Way more.

This is the same abridged version as you can find on the OST channel, however in-game it actually loops a few times (and has a few tiny exclusive bits not heard on either upload because of that so if you want to 100% the game, you'll need to listen to both this upload and the in-game version!)
