It's been a while since I uploaded a DJ set ...

Last few times I tried to record a set, always something went wrong, either i never received the recording or the quality wasn't good etc... but this time I have a nice one! yuhuu!

Here's the recording of my 2.5 hours sunset session at Wolvenroedel Presents Zongeluk in Zandvoort, Holland; featuring some of my favorite tracks lately.

Words can't describe yet another sunrise of epic proportions this time at the C.A.M.P. (Calling all Magical People) co-created gathering. Right at the beginning of my DJ set at 4:30 am on July 4th (US Independence Day) the cops showed up to try to shut the party down due to noise complaints.

I had the difficult task of keeping the decibel levels under a certain threshold, so I had to nurture a huge dance floor for the closing set of the festival until 7am somewhat quietly until we were able to ramp up the volume to proper dance floor levels.

I am not sure if it was that we all wanted this so badly, or the majestic rays of sunshine coming down upon us, all I know is that 17 encore songs & tracks after the supposedly closing "Lovely Day" song, we kept raving and raging until we almost dropped.

One of the most memorable mornings in my 21 years of DJ'ing. Here's the recording of the full 4.5 hrs of the closing sunrise DJ set. I hope it takes you all back and for those of you who weren't there I hope it brings you the sunrise  joy and magic we collectively had.

You could talk about this set by @budakid forever. It was played at an event organized by Rambalkoshe, probably one of the last major gatherings the world saw before the pandemic. The set debuted during DZEN 0.5, which started in winter and ended in spring, and we were so naive as to think that we were going to dance our way through the whole year. Yeah, right. We have now turned the various parts of our homes into stages and are dancing our asses off. Live from the bathroom, damnit. We had no idea then that things would turn out this way and had gathered a huge crowd in the Sports and Concerts Complex, booked the coolest lineup, arranged a big exhibition, and gone wild for the night. It really felt like the end of the world, and that’s why this is not just music. This set is about a lot of people’s emotions, their memories and stories that will either be told and or forever be lost in chaos. For most people the title won’t ring a bell, though it’s only the Armenian word for "complex", which we use to refer to the building that hosted the concert.

Brooklyn-based Catori works with sound both electronically and acoustically. Her performance style ranges from organic deep house to ambient meditation soundscapes. With childhood influences ranging from Latin, Rock, Reggae, and everything in-between, to her classical training in voice and violin, she draws inspiration from her rich cultural upbringing and international exploration to manifest stunning soundscapes always perfectly suited for the environment in her DJ sets and live performances. Currently focusing her creative output in the studio, Catori hopes to release her debut EP on Bespoke Musik this summer.

Over the years, Catori has found homes within the Bespoke Musik, PYNK & La Familia communities, and has been on the lineups for Minus Zero Festival, Elements Music and Arts Festival, Sonic Jungle, ZERO, Authentica, and has frequented Alborz, Bubbles and Bass, and Trifucta camps at Burning Man. She's shared the stage with talents such as Acid Pauli, Mira, Goldcap, Nico Stojan, Kora, and Brian Cid to name a few.

Catori means Spirit and is of Native American origin.
