Jar0me (born Jagen-Jesu Leonard Jerome Ibhadiyi on March 9, 1989) is a Nigerian Hip-Hop recording Artist, Songwriter, and Producer with roots that run deep into the vibrant streets of Lagos and the cultural soul of Edo State. Known by many names — IX (pronounced: 9 or 09 or ZeroNine), k33d, fr3.33 — Jar0me is a sonic shapeshifter who blends raw lyricism with genre-bending production, crafting sounds that hit the heart as hard as they hit the speakers.

From an early age, art wasn’t just a hobby — it was survival. “Art quenched my hunger even when I hadn’t eaten for days,” I recall. Whether trading my meals with my brother’s cartoon sketches or singing for my cousins in exchange for a kobo, young Jar0me discovered creativity could fill more than just an empty stomach — it could fill the soul.

By 2008, Jar0me stepped into the booth for the first time, recording “What You Feel” and later “Me” and “Caution” — tracks that were meant to form his debut EP on 09/09/09. Though the release was delayed due to sharp criticism over language choices and the pull of academic pursuits, the spark never dimmed.

Today, Jar0me stands at the intersection of Engineering precision and Artistic passion — an Engineer by profession, an Artiste by calling. His music is a canvas painted with African grit, global energy, and a fearless commitment to storytelling.

Jar0me made his debut on December 25th, 2022, with his first official EP, Better Late Than Never — a title that speaks volumes about his journey. While most rappers drop their first projects in their twenties, Jar0me took his time, releasing his debut at age 33, proving that timing doesn’t define talent.

Just a few months later, he followed up with his second EP, 0903, released on March 9th, 2023 — his birthday. The three-track project dives deep into his personal story, blending honesty, reflection, and smooth lyricism into a sound that’s unapologetically his own.

This is a channel for a studio project called Grand Prize (est. 2002), it's trip-hop with several other influences, rock, pop, indie/lo-fi, funk, psychedelia, boom-bap, folk, ect. Very much sample and beat driven as well...Anthoknee Battaglia (pictured) is the singer & Choice & Twan J. (not pictured) do production and engineering.
