Freud - Invasion (Grawinkel Remix - EYED012)

Freud releases Iceman, his debut ep on Eyesome, alongside remixes from gu-100 and Grawinkel.

Packed with enveloping sound design and mean low end, the portuguese-born & Amsterdam-basedproducer's soundscapes offer a rare bounty of deep, mesmerizing 140 brought to life by shuffling foley and crooked atmospheres. Dresden's Grawinkel throws his signature face-melting secret sauce
into his lively remix of invasion, while the Lithuanian gu-100 cranks up the bpm for a serene, serotonin hugging remix of the title track.

The Mais Baixo member, Freud, made his first Eyesome appearance on the Kurt EP (EYED009) where he remixed drift, a collaborative release by Grawinkel and guitarist Matthias Strobel. Now he returns with free reign over his debut Eyesome release. Defining the ep's tone, the titular Iceman grins like a
coal-stoked furnace through a smog of thuggish 808's, driving rides and sinister vagabond synth plucks. Freud abuses his license to operate the heaviest of machinery in the subterranean depths of Invasion, slicing up the mountainous sine waves with sporadic breaks and mysterious stabs. Freud then smelts the indestructible Beskar, forging a masterpiece that lulls the listener into a false sense of security with vhs-tape saturated rainfall before the ep's heaviest basslines yet pound the metal into shape... This is the way.

Grawinkel wants in on the action, whipping his trademark bouncy, joyous filth into invasion with a rooted nod to the dubbier side of 140, returning the favour for Freud's feature on his Kurt EP.

Gu-100 makes sure everybody on the dancefloor are bff's before the lights turn on and the clubs close with his heart-opening remix of iceman that completely recontextualises the rugged, villainous moods of the original to create a crystal-clear moment of overflowing emotional clarity.

Big premiere today from our good friends Tik&Borrow of their track "Kharon", which is part of an absolutely massive compilation celebrating 10 years of In:flux Audio! Laced up with 15 heavy-hitting tracks from some prominent and forward thinking artists, this is definitely a release you need in your collection. In October 2013, Tik&Borrow put on their first event in Leeds, before moving the events to Sheffield the following summer and launching the label. Ten rotations around the sun later and to celebrate the big 1-0, we have pulled together artists old and new from the In:flux Audio family to present 15 tracks of dubstep and 140 goodness.

Kicking off the compilation we have 4 artists who've been with us since the beginning in 1point5, Dr Oscillator, Pelikann, and Tik&Borrow, with Saraphim mixing in amongst the stalwarts with their first original track on the label. We welcome imakemusicbtw for his first solo outing with Max on vocals, plus label regulars Fork and Knife, Dystinkt and Qwirk doing what they do best, before the welcome return of Nomia following his EP in 2022.

For the run in No Remorse is back, RDubz debuts on the label ahead of his forthcoming EP in 2024 and Delta brings Fome along for the ride. We welcome another 'Free Dubstep' alumni in RUFUS! back to the label for the first time since 2021 before we close out proceedings with S3 Dub's trap inspired track 'Knight', the perfect closer to this compilation!

In the summer of 2013 when we had this idea, we never really knew what it would become. We are proud to have made it to this milestone with such an amazing bunch of producers that we get to call mates. We hope you've had as much fun as us these past 10 years and we look forward to showing you what we've got planned for the future!
