Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

Close your eyes and listen. Listen to your heart and the hypnotic sounds of Ukrainian DJ, producer and handpan player, Kate Zubōk. Now based in Paris Kate finds herself becoming an integral name amongst the prolific Parisian scene and beyond, spreading her positivity and wholesome outlook on not just music, but life in general. Music is about sharing, and sharing music from the heart, to open the hearts of others is exactly what Zubōk strives to achieve. As her musical quest continues to develop you can expect further innovative productions, and mystical performances within the booth, exchanging her eccentric energy with the dance floor, urging your mind to open to new realms and possibilities.

Her powerful yet melodic and organic tribalesque explorations have seen her join some of the most acclaimed names on the world stage such as Rampa, &Me, Solomun, Ame, Marcus Worgul, Agoria, 
Adriatique, Adana Twins, Bedouin, Behrouz, Black Coffee, Birds of Mind, Blondish, Francesca Lombardo, WhoMadeWho, Jamie Jones and other household names, and in a similar vein this has seen her land at stellar locations on a global scale, Rio, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Milan, Ibiza, Dubai, St. Tropez, Paris and several stateside cities along her colourful journey thus far. In terms of festivals Kate’s enchanting sound saw her play on the opening night of Robin Heart’s Burning Man stage, and other overseas festivals such 
as Wonderfruit and Epizode.

This tale of love between artist and music did not happen overnight, Kate has always found herself immersed in this sector of life in one way or another, songwriting began early on with a desire to learn instruments and yearn to sing, all the way until recently where she studied at SAE Institute, which then led to her acclaimed debut release, “Own Story” on Sapiens. The burning urge to create and share is always there for Zubōk, and all of this knowledge will continue to come into fruition in the years ahead. Music is an expression of feelings, and every single is a story, an emotion or a state.

If you are lucky enough to catch Kate in the coming period, you will begin to understand and feel the positive energy she radiates, and injects into her sets and audience simultaneously. A lifelong dedication to enriching music from the soul, for the soul, is a rarity in modern times, so embrace it and enjoy the ride.

Looking out to sea, the sun’s position, like life, is continually changing, until it hangs suspended and proud over the Faro, blurred and hazy like a re-discovered water colour on the wall of a long forgotten Finca, as Tardor i Hivern come to the Island.

This marks not only a period of hibernation, but for La Torre and many others, a period of reflection and rebirth…what happened, why did it happen, will it happen again and perhaps…should it have happened, as the madness of the summer fades away and we all start to inhabit our own space again, gathering breath for the coming times ahead.

Perhaps we should use the sun, not only as a giver of life, but as a cipher of presence and focus, a centre point to escape the frenetic pace of modern life and use it as a metaphor to always inhabit our own space, regardless of the insanity that surrounds, to become balanced and calm like the mirror-still sea that sits below this ever glowing presence that draws us back time and time again to this Island of infinite possibilities.

Perhaps it’s time to stop thinking about the summer at the end of the Autumn, the Autumn at the start of the summer and just be here…now, listening to the sounds of Elvissa and watching the sun kiss the ocean, because this is our moment, but one that we must have the courage to create amidst all the madness.

Our hope is that even if you haven’t yet visited us at La Torre, this collection of music, our second, will help you on this journey and if you have shared the majesty of the sunset with us, thank you and we hope it will transport you back to that glorious moment when the stillness and feeling of connectedness is so joyous it’s almost overwhelming, but remember, nostalgia is a heady drug….for there is only now, this beautiful calm moment.

BIMBAU takes people on a journey that combines melodies, drums, percussion, intensity, and magic moments; blending her Brazilian roots with the inspiring sounds she discovered throughout her years traveling around the world, she dives passionately into different genres whilst being fuelled by the energy she gets from the dance floor.

Erok learned his craft on the South Beach club circuit of Miami, around about the time hip-hop was gaining momentum. He took hip-hop as his foundation and then built on it, merging throwback joints from across the genre spectrum and then cutting the whole thing with cutting edge singles. It left clubbers yearning for more and demand for his services high.

Kue it
This skill in blending from an eclectic palette ensured his reputation grew… and not just along South Beach, but across the world. From Barcelona to The Bahamas from Shanghai to South America his ability to fuse soul, funk, Brasilian beats, reggae, house, rock and hip-hop ensures everyone from the occasional clubber to the aficianado kick back and enjoy the night. As the man himself says: “The energy a clever DJ generates intrigues me. We can translate our love for music to good vibes in any part of the world!”

Rok it
His global travels have seen him spin the soundtrack to everything from Hollywood A-listers’ private parties to Formula One events in Monte Carlo, the Red Bull after-ride party at South America’s Valle Nevado ski resort to becoming the official DJ at the world’s top polo events.

He’s a man who never stops – whether it’s touring Europe, the US, or creative consulting, Erok is on the move, on to the next party, the next club, the next opportunity to bring a lot of joy and a lot of tunes to people who want to party. His mantra says it all:

“One moment of perfection is better than a whole life of only good, live for the moment!”

Being born in the ’90s has undoubtedly influenced my musical style. I thrive on exploring diverse subgenres of house music, always aiming to create immersive and dynamic experiences for my audience.

My sound is firmly rooted in house, seamlessly blending groovy disco beats, Detroit-inspired vibes, old school tech house, and modern, forward-thinking grooves. In my sets I mix rare vinyl gems with digital treasures, offering a journey through the rich spectrum of electronic music.

I‘m currently based between Berlin and Vienna.
