Although they’ve known each other for 15+years and both dedicated their lives to music as band members, dj’s, engineers and producers, its taken Daniel Caswell and Brett Little all this time – and all this experience - to finally come together as a live act.

Cazgen music takes elements of spaghetti western, mid century sci fi, 80s italo, modern techno + electronica and blends them all into a brooding sound-scape that moves between the dark and light. The duo play everything from synthesizers to tape machines to create a fully textured wall of sound. Being friends for over a decade the duo have a synergy that flows through the music

Doom Gen is a passion project born from a desire to create safe spaces where the darker sides of dance music are celebrated without barriers.
With every gathering, we create experiences that move beyond genre, curating lineups connected by a shared love of the dark, the unconventional, and the extraordinary, with a deep focus on community.

We seek to connect open-minded artists and positive people, with a strong commitment to breaking down outdated social barriers that still persist in our world today.

Doom Gen channels the raw spirit of Industrial, Techno, EBM, Dark Disco, New Wave, Post-Punk, Rave, and all things dark, weird, and wonderful into Melbourne’s underground.

Since 2019, we have welcomed some of the most respected names in the scene, supported emerging artists, and stayed true to our commitment to authentic, community-driven music experiences for genuine, passionate people.

Operating across Melbourne’s most iconic venues, Doom Gen continues to push the boundaries between rave culture, connection, and immersive art.

In 2025, we will be expanding into a record label, bringing the Doom Gen spirit to original releases and collaborations from our growing community of artists.
