This is a collection of a handful of my music. They have a wide range of styles from rock, to orchestral, to electronic and everything in between. Sometimes I heard people say, "All you have to do is load up *insert DAW here* with some cracked version of *insert library here*, hit a few keys, and you can call yourself a composer. *grumble grumble grumble*"

While the industry has progressed where amateurs have access to tools that can produce high quality music, I take it personal when people make statements such as the above. People are able to create and share music these days with such speed and quality that it's amazing what one can do in the name of music and art.

I take my music very personally. I write music every chance I can get and I see myself writing music until the day I die. I may not have been classically trained, I may not be able to fully write and comprehend handwritten scores, but I do feel that I am competent musician and I have a developed my own personal style over the course of several years.

I can't possibly imagine what kind of stuff I will be writing in 5, 10, or 15 years. Never did I thought that I would be love writing music such as this. This song is a reflection of a chapter in my life. 9 is an arbitrary number, but the music absolutely reflects my state of mind this very second. I didn't write the music because I was copying someone, because someone told me to, because it's all I know how to do... I wrote this song because it is a direct extension of my emotions.

Sometimes it's hard to describe that to someone, non-musicians, grumpy egotistical musicians, amateur musicians... But some of you may understand what I mean. No matter what your background, no matter where you come from, your music is an extension of you. So please, enjoy this track and I hope it inspires you.

Stampede

Originally wrote this for the "Ravaged" theme song competition. Post-apocalyptic heavy rock/orchestral track.

Ravaged

This track was inspired by the Max Payne 3 soundtrack. It's very video game esque and can be broken into two parts. The first half can be seen as an in-game loop which demands urgency, which goes into an emotional action piece. It comes back down and goes into a hip-hop style beat with the same repeating melody.

Sample Set (Electronic/Pop)

This is a track very much inspired by the Mass Effect soundtrack. I originally wrote a piece that I thought was my own, but realized I pretty much copied the Mass Effect tune, even in the same key. I didn't even realize that the inspiration had come from playing Mass Effect until it just hit me. Doh! 

Frustrated that I thought I had something great, I scrapped it, took a break and started over. This piece is a result of that. There is also a little bit of BSG influence in there :) Enjoy!

Lucky

Hi there! My name is Cleveland and I am the owner of Bledsoe Audio. I do professional audio for video games, film, and television. I do everything from music composition, to sound effects creation, to editing and mixing. A lot of the work I do in Hollywood is film related - But I am also a HUGE gamer! 

I graduated with a BAS in Audio Engineering in 2009 at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts, and I immediately started working for WaveGroup Sound, the studio responsible for a lot of the audio work done on the Guitar Hero and Rock Band video game series. From there I moved to Los Angeles and started doing contracting film work for Audio Post Production facilities. I've spent the last few years doing a lot of my video game work at my home studio, and I've been focusing on reaching out to both indie developers and film makers and mid-sized studios providing my full range of skills. 

I've worked on projects big and small, and I have been fortunate to work on projects such as "Duty Calls" which was a playable promotional parody on Call of Duty for the game "Bulletstorm." I've also worked on numerous iOS games as well as movies for the Lifetime Network and "Ball Up," a reality TV show on Fox Sports. 

I'd love to talk about your project and how Bledsoe Audio can be a part of it. Freelancing is a way for me to get in touch with people personally and seek out new challenges that you don't get from a standard job. I hope I am the right fit for your project and I am excited to speak with you!
