DJ BUDA BIOGRAPHY

Buda is one of Denmark’s top 10 most accomplished and skilled DJs and producers.
Currently presenting a weekly show on Danish National Radio channel P6 Beat,
rocking a schedule of countless DJ gigs and constant production work to fill out time
in between. A music workaholic who brings a world of personality and quality to the
electronic music and club scene, and achieving more attention around the world with
upcoming shows in Hanoi, Paris, Oslo, Copenhagen, Tunisia, Portugal, Hamburg
and Cairo in the upcoming months.

With a career that spans over four decades, he has been on top of his game on all
of the genres he has thrown his perfectionist approach at. His intro to the DJ scene
in the 80’s came with the beginning og the hip hop and reggae scene, landing his
first residency when he moved to New York and was made resident at infamous club
The Haunt in the early 90’s.
Coming back to Denmark in the late 90’s he quickly formed the blissed out dub crew
Banzai Republic, and was behind some memorable album releases and production
work on fellow Danish legend Kenneth Bager’s succesful Music For Dreams label.
In the same period Buda held residencies at some of the 00’s first groundbreaking
Copenhagen clubs, the Vega Nightclub which was all about the 500 people capacity
party and every wednesday in the Verydisco Club lounge, where they hosted the
coolest lounge floor ever to grace Copenhagen. Since 2005 Buda moved towards
the tech house scene, drawing a lot of inspiration from Basic Channel, and in that
process he became part of a new breed of Danish producers, who formed the new
and cool electronic sound of Scandinavia, which dominated Europe’s electronic
scene in the end of the 00’s.
Buda’s own contribution to this era came as he teamed up with Thomas “T.O.M”
Bertelsen to create Lulu Rouge. In eight years responsible for two dubby electronica
albums, both critically acclaimed and earning both producers artistic respect
throughout the electronic music world.

A resent decision to move to Ibiza in 2015 for a longer period will allow Buda to
further concentrate on writing music, and add to his already impressive discography
and DJ schedule. Buda is a dedicated music digging electronica virtuoso. As a DJ
he delivers legendary floor sets with high technical skills, seamlessly blending bassheavy
killer rhythms, damn sexy house and his own underground edits, of any track
he feels need his trademark, an ultra efficient jacking treatment, served up with that
playful unmistakeable Buda attitude.
