The signal path is sort of interesting. I split the signal out of the guitar, and one side goes to my "normal" fuzz-overkill system. Before hitting the Microcosm, this side goes through a Compressor -> light OD -> and its own Volume pedal. The Microcosm is set to 100% wet, and both sides come together in a mixer. The dominant fuzz guitar is not what the Microcosm "sees," instead it gets a more "polite" signal. The second volume pedal, acting as a send means I can "gate" the input to the Microcosm with the volume pedal acting as a Send. One of the ramifications of this is that I can be selective about what input the Microcosm sees. It doesn't have to see every note. I can back the input off and have the Microcosm just hang there, acting as a pedal tone / drone.

Interruptions

The events of the day made me sad, and even madder at the world, if that's even possible. I decided making some racket might make me feel better. Entering the studio, I discover that my main Audio interface has died. This made me mad at my studio, as well. I re-patch a bunch of stuff and record a few minutes of sad anger. I'll listen to it again in a day or two to determine if I will leave this up or trash it, but it does seem to accurately reflect my state of mind at the time. Enjoy :)
