Novel, empathetic and genuine rock artist Ethan Murphy writes from the most intimate and spirited place in his soul.

Influenced by artists such as Aaron Lewis, Bill Withers and Chris Corrnell, he is currently finishing his upcoming album Last Light of Day that evokes his solicitude for humanity.

Originally from New Jersey, Ethan Murphy has been playing music for as long as he can remember. Exposed to music at a very young age, his studies included percussion and violin. Since a young lad his admiration for music grew with each note he heard and learned to play. Though he has performed all over the US with various bands including Scars Of Envy, his heart strums to the beat of acoustic, melodic rock...with an edge.

Project DJENT/MIDICORE/ELECTRO solo about space and time, with airy and captivating atmospheres! A transcendent journey to escape at the end of the day, punctuated by a sharp battery and a melodic guitar propelled through the darkness of the universe ... 
 These songs are about me, i’m a person who has the head in the stars but who overcomes everything else! They speak of chaos but also moments of peace that life brings us! 
 From my youngest ages, I started playing the saxophone at the age of 7, to then learn the drums at the age of 13, I then became part of several metal bands for finally in 2017 created  my own solo project the dark atom!   I had to put myself back on the guitar that I had approached during my youth to be able to provide titles at the height of my expectations while playing bass at the same time!  It was very enriching for me and I have since that time always tried to progress in the practice of the guitar but also in the virtual programming of instrument such as the drums, the guitar and other electronic effects!  
I bring for it a lot of influence like djent, electro, deathcore, piano and many others, I don't like to confine myself to a single style and the mix of these several styles allows me to express myself fully! And that's how in the corner of my room are born all my songs that I invite you to listen!

Gardensnakes emerged from an Arkansas summer to beat boredom to death with loud guitars, vicious hooks, and a fine sense of taste.  In 2018 songwriter/frontman Joey Vanderslice spent the summer recording demos for a new project in his attic and soon released them online under the name "Gardensnakes".  The recordings flew under the radar until being discovered by Abracadabra Records and were then re-released as an album after being mastered by sound engineer Nathan Sabatino (Dr. Dog, Harlem).  Shortly before the release of the album, Vanderslice formed the live band and began performing at house parties and local DIY venues.  Gardensnakes became known for their loud, rowdy performances and their fuzzed out rock n' roll sound.

In early 2020, Vanderslice began work on the band's latest EP, "New Ways to Die", working with Grammy-winning audio engineer, Ted Young. With Vanderslice recording from home, and Young mixing the EP from his studio, "New Ways to Die" was released in October, 2020 as a chaotic blend of garage rock, classic punk, and modern psychedelia.
