Der 2. Podcast von Dietmar Saxler mit dem Titel „Artists Talk In Ambient“ ist ein Künstler*innen-Gespräch mit Tasos Stamou und Waltraud Blischke und einer improvisierten Sound-Performance der drei Beteiligten. Aufgenommen wurde der Podcast in der Galerie Richas Digest am Kölner Volksgarten, die Blischke als temporärer Off-Space für Kunstaktionen nutzt. Als Klangerzeuger dienten vorhandenen Einrichtungsgegenstände und eine traditionelle Schellenkette.

Der griechische Komponist, Performer elektroakustischer Musik und Klangtechnologe Tasos Stamou hat einen einzigartigen Stil der Live-Komposition elektroakustischer Musik entwickelt. Inspiriert von verschiedenen Genres wie improvisierte Musik, Musique concrète, Noise & Drone und Folklore erforscht er Räume und verwendet sowohl traditionelle Instrumente als auch moderne Medien.

Die Kölnerin Waltraud Blischke ist Künstlerin, DJane und Kuratorin experimenteller Formate. Ihr neustes Musikprojekt zwischen Komposition und Improvisation Kryptologgia beschäftigt sich mit persönlichen und künstlerischen Eindrücken aus Kölner Krypten und deren besonderem Klangcharakter.

Dietmar Saxler ist Kurator und künstlerischer Leiter des Kölner Ambient Festivals. Beeinflusst von der elektronischen Musikszene Köln begann er 1999 mit der Veranstaltungsreihe E’DE COLOGNE und kuratierte Partyreihen, szenische Lesungen und Konzerte. Im Jahr 2005 gründete er das Ambient Festival „Zivilisation der Liebe“.

The 2nd podcast by Dietmar Saxler entitled "Artists Talk In Ambient" is an artist talk with Tasos Stamou and Waltraud Blischke and an improvised sound performance by the three participants. The podcast was recorded in the gallery Richas Digest at the Volksgarten in Cologne, which Blischke uses as a temporary off-space for art actions. Existing furnishings and a traditional chain of bells served as sound generators.

Greek composer, electroacoustic music performer and sound technologist Tasos Stamou has developed a unique style of live composition of electroacoustic music. Inspired by different genres such as improvised music, musique concrète, noise & drone and folklore, he explores spaces and uses both traditional instruments and modern media.

Dietmar Saxler is curator and artistic director of the Cologne Ambient Festival. Influenced by the electronic music scene of Cologne, he started the event series E'DE COLOGNE in 1999 and curated party series, scenic readings and concerts. In 2005 he founded the Ambient Festival "Civilization of Love".

"Same tribe, but different" – unmastered extracts of the eponymous exhibition in June 2022, Cologne. All voices and sounds are based on a letter from 1946. „Same tribe, but different" was the title of my exhibition in June 2022 including various works including sound and art print drafts, inviting collaborations as well taking the location into account, the gallery Richas Digest in the south of Cologne. I love this space, a spatial construct in its function like a stubborn entity on a parking spot. The exhibition explored artistic methods to transform migration as a topic into a cross-media concept without ethnographic attribution, by using archive material and letters pointing my own family history in abstracts to convert myself into an utopia entity: How many stories are told about us, about you and me, pointing us to a feeling of belonging which is kind of alienating?
