Elpac lurches into the NHS fold with their debut EP, taking form as a selection of four mounds of spasmic drum & bass and dancehall clay. The Pressure Dome affiliated artist captures the essence of his locality – Bristol – through the multiplicity of auditory colours and shapes that define the city’s approach to syncopated, warped electronica eclectica.

The release is fundamentally pacey and pushing, moving in an oddball step along threads of influence with regular moments of transient, oblique leakages. A rich undertone of UK-style sub frequency pervades the collection; the EP is laden with flowing, swelling, pulsing bass that is paired with an unconventional mash of synthesis and percussion.

Australian NHS boss Galtier and UK label Synes co-founder Druid team up for a collaborative EP 'Stone Hardware'. The EP’s four tracks are a collection of solo works and collaborative efforts from both producers recorded throughout the duration of late 2020 and early 2021, taking form as a hybrid collection of club-ready dancefloor destroyers.

The established end product of this EP is evident in the release’s title – an organic, primitive sound palette that frequents Galtier’s dynamic sound as heard in the last few years, combined with Druid’s mechanized futurism taken straight from the streets of Neo-Tokyo. Each producer has offered a distinctive focus that they have merged together into one evolving, unanticipated synthesis of proto and post-earthly sound.

wrk.dat is not an artist of many words. The munich-based record collector and dj rather lets his audio visions, which oscillate between experimental ambient and fast shimmering techno, flourish on Bandcamp with various alter egos. His minimal, sophisticated sound aesthetic, which he has been developing for years similar to Sun People, has led him to Defrostatica. After his hypersonic remix for footwork researchers Schmeichel & Shane Lizard at the beginning of the year, his first single is now being released on the Leipzig label. Xylit is a 160bpm acid techno track with riotous potential.

A collection of lost project files; eternalised as forever demos. Made over the span of 2014 to 2017. Heavy, weighty movers with plenty of sub and proto-grime/early Night Slugs Club Constructions influenced through and through. Some with subtle yet blatant samples to the keen ear. Repeated noises have been re-sampled across all tracks. I also absolutely rinsed beeps quite alot.

Calibrated (Shellshock) is a repurposed remix of Krizzli & Jerry Riggs that was never released. The rest of the tracks are straight originals that I will never be able to change or edit. Enjoy them as they are.

Capiuz returns on Over My Body with a new club-ready album that slashes through a nocturnal forest landscape with fluorescents and violent bursts of color. 
Taking its name from a series of paintings called “Bande di Fiori Notturni” by Italian artist Alice Visentin, the project goes through a wide array of influences and bpms. 

Terra Nuda (naked earth) acts as an opener fusing a foggy drone with drum breaks and dance hall syncopations. Hectic follows up with a more bass oriented attitude incarnated in a heavy pounding kick pattern and driven by metallic drums with a restless spirit. 

The sounds and textures of Fiori Notturni are heavily inspired by the works of John Cage and his use of percussive instruments for both rhythmic and textural purposes. These influences become pretty clear in slower cuts like Black Needle and the title track, where jingles, rattles and other high-pitched instruments create a moving bed for the rhythmic section. 
Other works such as 0400 and the collaboration with label head B E N N, Lunar Eclipse, bring a faster pace to the project with a higher focus on rhythmic layering. Before giving its way to the Ancestral Vision remix, the “night” is closed off by Hallucinogen, a longer track driven by a steady kick that plays with different odd timed patterns to create an exciting and enveloping trip.

Capiuz is the experimental dance project of producer and performer Luca Favaro. Based in Italy, his genre-merging production focuses on exploring rhythm and sound design in a club context. Often leaning towards live performances, Capiuz’s music takes the form of a heavy hitting outburst filled with heavy bass, breakcore progressions and granular textures. He is currently the host of a show on Radio Raheem and has published with Unizone, Over My Body and Early Reflex. As a programmer he’s developing max for live devices with HIDE Productions, including granular audio effects and instruments and flexible percussive synths.
