Venice, California is a hotbed of music, spirituality, culture, and historically a spawning ground for such Rock Gods as Jim Morrison and The Doors. It is in this metaphysical setting that the consciousness-expanding Hip Hop band known as the Luminaries have been born. With a range of sounds spanning from classic, feel-good boom-bap, to neo-soul mashed with super-charged funk-rock, the Luminaries cover the full spectrum of light and frequency. It's is not simply good tunes that gets the crowd hyped off this live rap act, the 3 MCs perform with a tight group of instrumentalists to accompany their positive message. The outcome is that audiences are left feeling empowered, inspired, and filled with a sense of sheer love as they walk away from this ecstatic experience.

G-Owens
 
G-Owens is an artist and songwriter based in San Jose, California. His sound is very direct and passionate, borrowing from influences as diverse as soul, jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop. He relocated to Arizona about 17 years ago, after spending 21 years in California! He has been passionate about music for his entire life, and even though his parent’s really didn’t approve of him listening to hip-hop, he still managed to sneak in a few rap tapes and hide them under his bed, so that he could listen to them at night. In addition to performing the vocal parts, G-Owens stands out because he actually produces his own tracks as well (He can play guitar, and piano.) To him, music is not only entertainment. It is a way to express himself and connect with the audience, whether it is free styling, releasing new songs, or sharing the stage with greats like Talib Kweli and Ryan Leslie, among others!
 
If you are a fan of artists as diverse as Mac Miller, Pharrell, D’Angelo or even classic icons like Stevie Wonder, G’s music is going to be right up your alley, so don’t sleep on it!
