have you ever taken an edible in iowa after a 5 hour flight that departed at 4am followed by a 4 hour drive with no sleep and a stomach full exclusively of old nerds gummy clusters you found in your friend's car? did you then proceed to have a panic attack where you believed you were stuck in a seconds-long time loop and u kept forgetting and rediscovering the fact u were stuck in that time loop every time it looped? did you then to proceed to sleep for 6 hours in the living room where your friends got to hear you sleep talk in arabic? well THIS ALBUM IS FOR YOU!!!

hopelessly we're intertwined but for a moment, you were mine

while initially working on the concept for this album, I gravitated a lot towards writing about stars, meteors and space as metaphors for wishes and the inevitability of an ending to all things. so this song is about meteors that are fated to fall, but that the fleeting existence and the beauty in the fall (we call it a shooting star) is still something that we as humans marvel at and assign hope to through our wishes.
