Друзья! Прежде всего всех с наступающими праздниками! Я решил не ждать, а ждал я наверное год, если касается именно этого микса, и поделиться с вами своим сокровищем! Этот микс – это мой золотой фонд! Не поверите, но миксу больше года. Просто новинки и новые течения deep house музыки немного затмевали мой разум и я все никак не мог выложить эту работу. Но как говорится всему свое время! И я очень рад что именно сейчас я пишу эти слова… ведь на самом деле, описание к этому миксу я придумал давно, но в итоге пишу то, что на душе! Это энциклопедия deep house музыки, для меня! Я на ней вырос! В прямом смысле слова! Все препати и хомпати того времени начинались с этих треков! А многие в то время и не знали что есть такая музыка, ведь ей почти 10 лет и ее помнят мои сверстники или большие почитатели этой музыки! Это Америка! Черт возьми и все! Классика хаус музыки!!! Многие мои коллеги меня поддержат, так как сами выросли на ней. ДА, я хотел написать какой дурак Andy Caldwell и Kaskade что ушли от такой музыки в коммерцию, честно говоря этих музыкантов сейчас противно слушать! А многие пропали с того времени, только некоторые радуют до сих пор саундом NAKED music! Короче меньше текста, а то его может быть много))) «белый мускат красного камня» делает свое дело ))) я просто думаю что в эти праздничные, зимние дни – эта работа будет очень уместна! Особенно таким «старикам» как я))) в том плане, те, кто застали эту музыку в том времени! Ну что ж! начнемс!) хотя чего начинать, у меня он сейчас играет уже третий раз))) всех спраздниками!

It´s a showcase of what i learned in the studio and in the booth in the last 20 years and the combination of those skills. 
It´s my approach of how to present such work in our fast forward moving times. This is why this work as i intended it to be in mixed form will be available as a free download for all of you. For DJs the tracks will be available as 4 Album Chapters with single tracks in the next months.

A Brief History: Nick Warren & Nick ‘Tripswitch’ Brennan 

The two Nicks first connected in 2006, when Warren contacted Brennan to license the Tripswitch track ‘Roll Your Own’ for his Global Underground ‘GU30 Paris’ compilation, and subsequently took a second track ‘Strange Parallels’ which the latter had been writing for his 2nd Tripswitch album ‘Geometry’. 

Following the incredible success of the GU compilation, the pair kept in contact and over time became good friends, with Warren becoming something of a mentor to Brennan, particularly when the latter launched his first label Section Records and then started to broaden his productions from chillout into progressive house. Who better to ask advice than the Godfather! 

In 2011 Warren remixed the Tripswitch track ‘Collider’ for Section, and then included it in his ‘Balance 018’ comp. In 2013, Warren again nabbed two new Tripswitch tracks – ‘Still Seas’ and ‘Sick Teckers’ – for his Renaissance ‘The Masters Series: Part 18’ comp, and the same year the pair DJ’d back-to-back at the exclusive Kimberley Festival. 

With their musical tastes so aligned going right back to the 1980’s, it was inevitable that given the right opportunity the two would eventually collaborate in the studio, and in 2016 just such an opportunity arose with the first release on Warren’s new The Soundgarden label, where they joined forces to remix the Joey Fehrenbach track ‘Wolves’. 

The studio chemistry worked like a dream and the pair turned in a belting, swirling, nu-disco remix that complemented the leftfield-electro original perfectly and, soon after, the two Nicks were planning their next outing, which came in the form of their first original production together – ‘Savannah’. 

Originally released in a slowed down form on Hernan Cattaneo’s ‘Balance presents Sudbeat’ compilation, it was then given the Sudbeat single release treatment at the original tempo, along with remixes from Guy Mantzur and Mariano Mellino.  ‘Savannah’ went on to become one of the hottest progressive releases of 2017.

When Brennan launched his new onedotsixtwo imprint in summer 2017, with its focus on releasing the highest quality progressive house music, this was the perfect excuse for another set of collaborative studio sessions, and ‘Voight Kampff’ (ODST0003) is the dazzling result. 

With another collab already underway and a fifth in the pipeline for later in the year, this is an alchemic production partnership that plays to the strengths of both artists and is set to bear delicious fruit for a long time to come.
