Authentic discipleship extends beyond our own spiritual health and personal piety to embrace a sacred stewardship of spiritual formation across generations. We are heirs of the Lord, merely recipients of God's truth as well as stewards and commissioned custodians. God has called us to invest deliberately in the faith development of children, young believers, and emerging disciples who will carry the testimony forward long after we are gone. This generational faithfulness requires intentionality—we must actively proclaim God's mighty works, teach his commandments with conviction, and model hope-filled obedience so that those who follow us develop hearts anchored in God rather than hearts prone to spiritual drift. We should ask ourselves “What am I doing today to sow seeds of faith that will bear fruit in generations I may never see?” as well as “How am I leaving a legacy devotion to God breaking the cycles of spiritual unfaithfulness seen in previous generations?”
