In loving memory of my friend and colleague in music . . .  Lee Yeomans . . .   who is now looking down on all of us from a higher place somewhere and reminding us to make the most of every day we have here together.  Lee will be missed by so many, but especially by his beautiful loving family who extended their unconditional love to all of us and made us feel like we're all just one big family.  And so we are.

In 2004, I'll Rise (a cover of American soul singer Ben Harper's adaptation of the poet Maya Angelou's poem And Still I Rise) became one of the most popular tracks off Peyton's debut album on Hed Kandi records, and is still for many fans the Peyton classic that best characterises the essence of his gospel voice set to Kupper's quintessential House beats.

Peyton’s voice and lyrics have become synonymous with soulful house. His trademark gospel-infused, uplifting sound borrows inspiration from his childhood as the real-life son of a preacher man in Virginia where he grew up. For the past two decades, Peyton has performed in over sixty countries and across six continents, making headline appearances at events like Sydney’s Mardi Gras and the official Beijing Olympics afterparty and also holding summer residencies in Ibiza at Blue Marlin and Space. Peyton has collaborated with some of house music’s most beloved all stars, including the late godfather of house Frankie Knuckles and the legendary Eric Kupper.

In 2022, Peyton co-founded and launched Revival Records, a label and music collective committed to creating high quality dance productions and more opportunities for artists.
