Scoop Killah a.k.a Edric Salone was raised in the suburbs of Lexington, KY where he had the opportunity to experience an eclectic lifestyle filled with musical influences. Scoop Killah started playing instruments and singing at a young age. Scoop started off learning the violin and soon picked up the snare drum, clarinet, and other woodwind instruments. With a knack for musical talent and an ear for soulful sounds, Scoop began to dabble in Hip Hop at a young age writing his first rhymes as early as 12 years old. After years of hardship and life lessons Scoop Killah has crafted a soulful, edgy sound, with a laid back, beach cruiser, encapsulating flow. With heavy influence on rhythmic cadences and an infusion of robust vocabulary listeners should prepare themselves for a trippy ride down memory lane with this artist. Coining the phrase "Gangsta Soul" with his long time partner Chiller Dice, stemming from Snoop Dogg's "Rhythm & Gangsta" vibes, Scoop Killah has begun to create a sub-genre of hip hop music for the next generation to influence.
