A simple lyric and heartfelt song for Molly :)
Purpose:  To soothe and comfort my tween as she grows up! With her blessing, I share this story:

When my daughter had trouble falling asleep, we used to tell her to think of all the ponies on a carousel. We'd imagine the prettiest pony she can think of. She would get to paint it, decorate it, braid its hair, and focus on all of the details on the pony's design. What color gems will you bedazzle their saddle with? What song is playing on the carousel? Now that she is older, I wanted to share motherly wisdom through my mistakes and life experiences in the form of a song. I decided to choose the "Carousel" topic for my lyrical inspiration.

A Mischievous Plan

To welcome Tom Adams back to SC, I recorded this slow, building blues burner...and I bought us a round of virtual bourbons. ;) Tom leans into that Tele bite for the opening solo pass, a second pass and then a howling ride home. After immersion in Dtrot the Pilot's track (Whatcha Feelin) for over an hour...this came out. Thank you Dtrot. You inspired me.

The blues of the re-appearance

Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune (French for "Moonlight") is one of the most beloved and recognizable pieces in the classical piano repertoire. Composed as the third movement of his Suite Bergamasque, it was completed in 1890 and later revised before its publication in 1905.

The Gymnopédies, published in Paris starting in 1888, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist Erik Satie.

The melodies of the pieces use deliberate, but mild, dissonances against the harmony, producing a piquant, melancholy effect that matches the performance instructions, which are to play each piece "painfully", "sadly" or "gravely".

As a composer, his most enduring work is his chamber music, which earned him a central place in the Italian instrumental renaissance of the 19th century. However, his success as a composer was overshadowed by his reputation as one of the finest concert violinists of the nineteenth century. Cecilia Muylaert is a Brazilian pianist and composer based in Paris. After studying classical piano at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and graduating in Music and Musicology from Paris-Sorbonne, she turned to composition following her studies in film scoring and contemporary composition at the University of Leeds, UK.

A versatile composer, Cecilia Muylaert composes for concert, theater, cinema and multimedia. Her concert music has been performed in the United States, England, Scotland, Germany, Mexico and Brazil by various soloists and chamber music ensembles.

She draws inspiration from various musical genres, often mixing orchestral writing, inherited from her classical training, with contemporary electronic elements.
