Thoughtful Sunday. This one is very intense and it reflects my current state of mind. Is it overthinking or is it just my detailed reflection of all incoming impulses? The piano music that you hear has been performed by me. I invented this piece while playing and recording my piano at home. This technique is called free improvisation. This music is not based on structures, influences or even existing motives or melodies. The music is evolving in "real-time". Some people say that I am gifted with a direct connection between my brain and my fingers ;-) Please enjoy and feel free to comment. I always want to know, how my music affects the listener. Cecilia Muylaert is a Brazilian pianist and composer based in Paris. After studying classical piano at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and graduating in Music and Musicology from Paris-Sorbonne, she turned to composition following her studies in film scoring and contemporary composition at the University of Leeds, UK.

A versatile composer, Cecilia Muylaert composes for concert, theater, cinema and multimedia. Her concert music has been performed in the United States, England, Scotland, Germany, Mexico and Brazil by various soloists and chamber music ensembles.

She draws inspiration from various musical genres, often mixing orchestral writing, inherited from her classical training, with contemporary electronic elements.
