This week's show was a Sunshine Special, with the most uplifting tracks to tempt out the sun during a rainy week in the UK. My special guest was Ewan Mack, a talented DJ who caught my ear when I heard him as a guest on other radio shows. I'm delighted for Ewan to bring his uplifting vibe to the show

** EWAN MACK BIO **
Hailing from Aberdeen but now living in Edinburgh, Ewan's love of music started from an early age when he started to listen to soul, funk and disco. In 1993, Ewan started listening to Pete Tong's Essential Selection and Essential Mix shows and his love of house music started.

A pair of belt drive turntables and basic mixer were purchased shortly afterwards and Ewan started DJing at house parties while at University. The belt drives were soon upgraded to 1210s which he still uses to this day.

Almost 30 years on Ewan still likes to collect a broad range of disco and soulful house-music although the tempo has moderated over the years. He makes regular recordings to share with like-minded music fans and has featured on the Even Funkier radio show and the Disco Waltons show on NDC Radio.

He references Graeme Park, MAW, Dave Lee, Norman Jay, Dimitri from Paris and Frankie Knuckles as major influencers.

Luxury Resort DJs resident Victor took the leap to Ibiza in 2013, there he became resident DJ at the beautiful Sa Punta – a beach club linked to the worldwide famous Pacha Ibiza. His sound is flexible and versitie, depending on the time and the venue, styles like house, funky disco, deep and balearic is what you will hear in his sets –  always enhanced with good taste and a nice track selection. 

What has really helped Victor grow as a DJ is his relationship with Ibiza, influenced by the house and balearic sounds since 2001. Victor is resident DJ of important Ibiza venues such as Jockey Club, Experimental Beach Ibiza, Savannah, Santos and Paradiso Ibiza.

London-based DJ Ella’s passion for music started from an early age. Having trained at the Royal Ballet School, Ella has previously worked as one of the UK’s top commercial dancers. Her dance career has seen her work alongside artists including Kylie Minogue, Calvin Harris and appeared on TV shows including The X factor, Britain’s Got Talent and towards the end of her career dancing in the London Olympic closing ceremonies 2012.

After a highly successful dancing career, self-confessed party girl Ella turned her attention to behind the decks.

Ella currently has London residencies at Madison’s, Bluebird, Gaucho, Nobu, Avenue & The Sky bar at the new Tottenham Stadium.

She is also a firm favorite in the fashion & design world, playing a diverse range of High profile events & A-List parties for brands including Dior, DVF, Porsche, McLaren, and Selfridges.

She has also played Internationally at ‘Shimmy Beach Club’ in South Africa, ‘Nammos’ in Mykonos, Portugal. Monaco, ‘MAXX Royale’ in Turkey & most recently in Bangladesh for NYE. This summer she makes her debut playing in Ibiza at the legendary Pikes.

Ella’s DJ sets greatly depend on the venue & crowd.

Her music is generally a fusion of genres from downtewmpo & lounge to Jazz/Funk/Soul/Disco & House. Her vast music collection has seen her play in both London’s underground circuit and representing the most luxurious brands.
