Amber's Rescue ♡

As an old, I often feel incredibly lost.  Insecure and full of doubt, I yearn for the confidence I once had in my own abilities and my own potential.  

To be able to say "I know what to do" and believe you say--that feels like a completely different person from forever ago.  

So, when I decided "I should make a minimal house track--knowing my tendency to lose myself into novelty and my inability to edit myself or show restraint--it felt like a foolish attempt.  

...and yet, I think I actually managed to pull it off.  Maybe I still know what to do?  

That'd be nice.  

This is a house song.  A deep house song.  A classic house song.  A minimal house song.  And it stays that way--not in a monotonous way, but in a consistent way.  Consistency, very important in a house song.

The song features a saxophone.  Not in a crazy way, not in an incongruous way--but in a way that makes sense--and just enough.  

You've got a male vocalist with a little bit of heft in their voice confidently stating that he knows what to do.  You have a woman whispering that this is what she wants, and occasionally laughing--not in a mocking way, but a fun participatory way.  

And all of this doesn't overstay its welcome.  (The hardest thing was not to keep the groove going--so, perhaps an extended mix for this would be a good idea someday?)  

I'm proud of this one.  I kept it simple.  Yay!

The recording of my set at my birthday party 'Gardens Of Valybon' in the NDSM Scheepsbouwloods (Amsterdam), on 15-12-17! I organised a private birthday party with a magical Gardens of Babylon theme (inspired by the amazing parties of @thegardensofbabylon) and the music reflects that with low bpm Eastern influenced tracks. Hope you like it!
