During late hours under the clear starry skies of the Tankwa, there isn’t really any good reason to not let completely loose and throw down beats dropping harder than a farmer with a new crop. Especially when you happen to be doing it in celebration of the the great pride and glory and the very totem of gooi-ing mielies itself.

Thanks to the Scallywags for your dedication to showing us the light in the art of throwing those corns like there’s no tomorrow. For making me dig into my late night music vibes, which is always suuuch a pleasure. Who knew that corn could be so conducive to channelings of dirty beats and healing dance moves?

[For those of you unfamiliar with what “Gooi Mielies” means, it’s a South African expression for “throwing corn” which may sound really odd, but it actually in a more metaphorical sense means to “give it your absolute all”.]
