This wasn't your everyday Summer camp, this was a magical Fairy forest with a very selected, and well-vetted group of magical people, which turn into an epic night of beats that took us to one of the most uplifting mornings of our lives. Grateful for having been able to safely had this experience to perform in a live setting in front of other humans, and not behind a screen. This is the recording of that magical sunrise. Enjoy! The woman behind the decks in this episode of the Culture Box Podcast, Minimalene of Umfi Umfi Collective takes the listener on a journey reflecting the strange times we live in in a mix featurering tracks from Bondarev, Fakemood, QDream and Dan Barrow. 
As the mood changes from lighter melodic tunes to the more dark, mystic and minimal sounds, the common thread throughout this mix – and Minimalenes mixes in general – are the always deep and “dry” basslines and the carefully chosen vocal tracks mixed in.
 
To Minimalene, the music is a spiritual feeling and that’s what she wants to channel on the dancefloor, or (as is most likely in the current the moment) in your home with your headphones on. Buckle your seat belt and turn up the volume – good music deserves to be heard loud!

Plombir Fabrique Festival 2020

No official burn happened this year, yet we came together in the truest spirit and created our own experience. New friends and old, we created a weekend together in a house nestled next to the beauty of Zion national park. We made something totally unique and magical - a reflection of all of us who shared our time an energy with each other. We didn’t need that specific spot in the Black Rock Desert to be great.

This set was recorded during our “Berlin Banger” theme night. Straddling the borders of techno, tech house, and progressive, this set was a journey through whips and chains and leather and grunge. We partied until the sun was a faded memory in our own special version of Berlin.

The last 6 minutes of the set is something I added in post production as a tribute to the weekend. Someone captured audio of our friend Meira’s beautiful impromptu recitation of “A Burner’s Prayer” during our own man burn ceremony, which I used to create a track to memorialize the moment.

Zion Burn - A Berlin Banger

Steven Le Fevre(@s-h-le-fevre) & Minoz(@minoz-nyc) look back on an incredable rave weekender in France with an amazing crew and crowd: The Musketiers. We enjoyed this performance sooo much ... we hope you can appreciate the recording :)
This track was live recorded on the first night and represents a compilation of driving melodic techno mainly released recently.

What I miss the most is late night dancing in a dark room with a big sound system where you can feel the music. Energetic, up beat grooves with big bass lines where when the kick drops you can feel that infectious energy of crowd around you. That's what this mix is about, drink in one hand while your fist is pumping in the other hand as you dance to big room dance floor music late night. With a focus on high quality sound where when you play it on a good sound system or good headphones you can feel the music that takes you to those late night memories on the dance floor that we haven't been able to experience during the pandemic.
