Faded Photographs is a collection of original songs that have been swimming around my conscious and sub-conscious for quite some time. A few go back decades, while many come from a welcome effluence of inspiration over the past year.

While I’ve been involved in the music business since the Brits invaded our culture in the 60s, this is the first commercial release of my own material as an artist. Until now, my work has focused on co-writing and producing with and for other artists, including Madeleine Hart, Giorge Pettus, Javetta and JD Steele, Jimmy Steffen, Holly Circle and others.

I hope you find some form of inspiration from these songs and that you are motivated to connect with the messages from a place of emotion, compassion and a deeper sense of meaning.

The tracks I have & will post here are samples of my past & current projects through my home recoding studio called Celestial Studios.

I have a decent little Protools rig & a few nice mics & pre's, but some very nice plug-ins. I run a sound & lighting production company as my full time living here in the Twin Cities called Event Sound & Lighting.  Because of my day job, I have all of the tools necessary & sort of specialize in live & on-location recording.  Many, if not most of the projects I work on & tunes I will post here will be live performances that are brought back to the studio to be mixed & or mastered.

Russ Parrish is an award winning singer-songwriter Nashville native who moved to Minnesota in 2016.

Influenced by artists like NEEDTOBREATHE, Switchfoot, and We the Kingdom his lyrics and melodies come together to form powerful songs. 

Russ has won several awards including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest, and the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest. He has also won Honorable Mention in American Songwriter Magazine’s Lyric Contest & NSAI’s song contest presented by CMT.

His music focuses on the journey between faith and doubt. From love to loss, hope to heartbreak, and the unknowns in-between. There’s a place for everyone to join the journey in his songs…

This is the official Soundcloud profile in memoriam of Lonnie Knight. Lonnie is the legendary guitartist, singer-songwriter and performer who touched the lives of countless fans and earned the respect of his peers for more than a half-century in the music business. Lonnie passed away at the age of 68 on May 7th, 2017 after a courageous fight against cancer. He was on stage up until his final hours, sharing his musical gifts with his friends, family and fans.
