Una banda que en el 2006 comienza a componer y ensayar generando ideas que rápidamente tomarían forma, adquirirían un carácter distintivo y recibirían un nombre propio; así nace Prefiero Fernández, banda independiente que luego de un año de trabajo lanza su primera entrega; “Aquí Nos Vemos” (2007), álbum que cuenta con 11 tracks y que logra irrumpir en la escena nacional con excelente recepción. Sus singles logran rotar en las parrillas de Rock & Pop, Radio Horizonte y Vía X, mientras que la banda logra sus primeras menciones en prensa escrita. Con su segundo trabajo, “Cápsula Natural”, Prefiero Fernández logra posicionarse como “una de las bandas independientes más destacadas de la escena nacional” (Jorge Lira para Sonar FM) y logra ampliar su difusión en radios y medios de comunicación, recibiendo especial reconocimiento como una de las bandas pioneras en nuestro país en la difusión virtual de su música.

Durante el año 2012, Prefiero Fernández estrena su tercer trabajo discográfico “Días de Noche”, que representa un paso mayor para la banda siendo masterizado en los legendarios estudios de Abbey Road. Este trabajo abrió las puertas para la participación en importantes festivales como Lollapalooza, Maquinaria, Frontera, Fuga, Gira Teletón Chile e importantes shows junto a Capital Cities, Alain Johannes y Scott Weiland de Stone Temple Pilots.

“Mineral” es el cuarto y recién estrenado álbum de la banda, el cual destaca por mostrar una faceta renovada y más moderna de lo que ya estábamos acostumbrados a escuchar en sus trabajos anteriores. En esta nueva placa la banda chilena ha sido capaz de mostrar un sonido más maduro, con ritmos más rápidos, bailables, cuerdas de carácter mas setentero y un sin fin de detalles contemporáneos que te incitan a mover el pié al ritmo de la música de principio a fin. El álbum fue grabado y mezclado en Estudios Agartha, y masterizado en Alemania por Robin Schmidt, ingeniero de artistas como The Black Keys, Two Door Cinema Club, Jake Bugg, The Kooks, Mumford & Sons, The Rapture, entre otros.

The original line-up of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal are back from an eight year hiatus to bring their world back to ours. Fred Durst and Wes Borland said in a joint statement:

Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."

The guys will kick off a world tour in the Spring on the overseas festival circuit with headline shows sprinkled in throughout Eastern Europe and Europe, selected dates include, in late May, Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltic countries where Limp Bizkit has never played before despite huge demand, along with major festivals like Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany, more dates to be announced shortly. A new album, which would be the original group’s first full-length effort since 2000, is also planned. Limp Bizkit’s first three albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.
