My next guest on Yax Invites is Jacob Foschi, a Melbourne/Naarm based DJ and Drummer with over 15 years of experimenting as a musician - today, Jacob's mode of storytelling is through techno. 

Jacob aims to craft sets that pay homage to the traditional, timeless sound whilst incorporating modern interpretations and elements of techno. With a background in Jazz, he upholds a contemporary approach in his style of mixing contrasting between harsh and delicate soundscapes. 

This mix delves into varied moments of intensity while maintaining a sense of playfulness throughout, the listener can expect a steady buildup as the mix progresses. Enjoy!

With roots in Greece and a home base in the Ruhr area, medea brings over a decade of club culture to the decks. As a resident DJ at Tresor.West in Dortmund, she has developed a sound that is warm, deep, and flowing – gentle yet driving, somewhere between trancey vibes, dubby techno, housy breaks and subtle Detroit influences. She has showcased this sound time and again through her sets at events such as Fusion Festival and the Pollerwiesen Afterhour at Tresor West Garden, as well as in clubs like RSO, PAL, and Lehmann, where she presents her distinctive blend of driving beats and emotional soundscapes.

medea is committed to inclusivity in electronic music. Through her residency, she creates platforms for marginalized gender identities and spaces that uplift underrepresented voices. With her event series R.I.O.T. (Reclaiming Identities On Turntables), she extends this vision behind the decks, curating club spaces for diverse expressions of identity.

BCCO x SoundCloud New Faces S05E02: Nina Pixina

Cryptofauna is a resident of Berlin-based crews TILT and Dissident. Her style moves between forward-pushing energy, warmth and darkness, linking abstract, textured and functional sound. With over a decade of experience in crowd dynamics, she shapes floors from deep immersion to euphoric peaks and back.

Across Europe, she has appeared at clubs such as Berghain/Panorama Bar and Säule, Tresor, OHM and RSO in Berlin, Macadam in Nantes, POING in Rotterdam, FVTVR in Paris as well as Club RAUM and Radion in Amsterdam. In summer 2025, she played first intercontinental shows in New York at Nowadays, The Lot Radio and Lettone. Towards the end of 2025, she debuts in China and Vietnam.

For this mix, she spent a full night digging and kept following new paths in sound. Once the selection was done, the material felt overwhelming yet clear in direction. The result for BCCO is trippy, slightly off, gritty and full of swing, carried by an organic momentum.
