This week, we are graced by the presence of Hugo, fondly known as Nessiel, hailing from the charming French town of Rennes. His musical odyssey first found its way to us through a fortuitous repost, affirming the timeless adage that good things have a beautiful way of returning.  Nessiel is also the curator of a promising mix series "Module".

As we prepare to immerse ourselves in this week's mix, a sense of immense pride washes over us. The inception of our series was fueled by the desire to unearth extraordinary talent within the community of enthusiasts who may not yet be recognized as professional touring artists. This mix, in particular, stands as a testament to that vision, exuding an authentic artistic essence. The whole selection reverberates with raw talent, showcasing Nessiel's impeccable curation of tunes. When we label it as "proper," we emphasize a standard of pure and resonant lounge dance.

After more than a year away, we’re back. And I’m beyond glad to welcome Kim Kenis, an artist from Belgium whom I recently met at the unforgettable @itsdelayed getaway. Our time together was brief, but it was undeniably memorable.

I was lucky enough to hear this mix live at the Barn last fall, and now we get to share it with everyone. In this three hours, Kim takes us on a delicate journey—one that gradually unfolds through space. It invites you, then teases you, pulling you deeper before you even realize you’ve surrendered to it. Known for her near-prolific output of thoughtful, studied radio mixes and a club & festival schedule that speaks for itself, Kim brings a bewitching tenderness to her DJ-ing—whether she’s sending stargazers into the ether with ambient selections or locking in the dance floor with minimalistic grooves.

Our new mix comes from New York locals, Scotia and threehz who went b2b at "dream/self", a beautifully crafted club night hosted by threehz at Earthly Delights in Ridgewood New York. Get ready for some spring heat. 

Scotia is a DJ and producer with the ear of a true fan and the deep intention of a seasoned practitioner. Her debut EP "Giving Chase" on Acid Camp is a high-energy, lo-fi romp into transfemme jacking hysteria. Scotia has been making rounds on the local club scene recently. Keep an eye out New York.

NYC-based selector threehz explores the emotive sides of techno, experimental, and ambient music for every performance, taking inspiration from sludgy dark psychedelia to pulsing warpdrive drum tracks. Whether rinsing healing or destructive frequencies, as their namesake suggests, threehz knows how to craft textured, curated soundscapes on the dance floor which can be heard at multiple event series’ in NYC and residencies for The Lot Radio.

Scotia b2b threehz

Originally from Toulouse and a member of the Egregore collective, Kaval is known for his raw, percussive productions. His sound is rooted in the French bass scenes, with a focus on rhythm-heavy tracks that hit with intent.

A regular presence in Toulouse’s underground, Kaval has steadily released music through labels like Délices Du Midi and holds a residency at Ruff Club Tlse. His sets—often spanning tempos from 90 to 150 BPM—lean into system-ready blends that balance surprise and energy.

He’s also hosted the Lost Drums Show on Egregore Radio and contributed a guest mix on Rinse FM, with support from names like Pearson Sound, Skream, and DJ Python.

We’re genuinely happy to have him on Cellar Door—since first discovering his music on Bandcamp and catching his Rinse show, his tracks have been a steady fixture in our wishlist.

We would love to welcome the multi-talented Polygonia on our platform and we are so thrilled to be able to start this whole project with her brilliant mix. Astonishing ambience and dark polyrhythms will take us on a journey into fascinating musical world of this artist.



Artist's Bio

Polygonia is a versatile art and music project based in Munich, Germany. Her Precending intensive and long practice playing several instruments as well as the experiences with other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into digital music language. She creates mystic, deep and experimental soundcapes with acoustic elements in it. The goal of her sets is to lead the listener through a colourful story, which includes a palette from bright moods with a lot of atmosphere and harmony into the polyrhythmic abyss of techno and dark ambient.
