It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us refusing to fit the patriarchal-neoliberal mould, we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. In an world imbued with insecurity the only invariable is change. Regardless of one’s point of reference, we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

This month we have invited interdisciplinary artist and composer, @yannnovak to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these (and other) anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality

@axis_operandi - Dj, producer and promoter based in Warsaw. Co-creator of music platform and event series Biotechnologia (Biotechnology). Through Biotechnologia and his Dj sets he looking for a balance between deep, ambient techno and broken beats. Psychedelic, tribal, spacey, trancey, acid and dreamy sounds - these are sounds that he interested in. Through events that he promoted and own mixes he try to convince the listeners that mixes based on techno do not have to darkly or brutal but they could have a colorful pallete of emotions and beats.

Bio: Tekra is a U.K based Techno DJ/Producer with the ability to create an infusion of Techno styles comprised of harmonic and atmospheric sounds with dark and industrial noise, capturing the imagination of his listeners with his own auditory signature.

Circular Limited, DVNTT, Lett Records, Northallsen Records, RCR Limited and Warok Music are labels that boasts his creations.

Tekra made his Berlin debut in March 2019 at the was prestigious and now extinct Arena Club and was one of the last artists to perform there for Strictly Forbidden.
His latest trip saw him meet with Barcelona’s underground project Bahn.

Sound researcher in the studio, chaos creator on the dancefloor our next podcast comes from @d-leria aka Giuseppe who started his DJ carrier over 20 years ago in 2001. In the early stages, he was focused on playing Hardcore, achieving international success, and playing at performing at major festival lineups. In 2014 he encountered a new and unfamiliar sound realizing that this was what he had long been desiring. D-Leria was born from this experimentation and started a whole new journey. At first, he began releasing independent EP's that developed the intentions of his very own label called Delirio. Artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Simone Giudice, Retina.it, Key Clef, and more were all hosted on several occasions on his label; all there to spread the same message, hard groove on vinyl. In September 2017 he moved to Berlin to find new ideas and to develop his album "Driving to Nowhere" which took him five years but became his most memorable work yet. The sound immediately gained the attention of many artists such as Shifted, Donato Dozzy, Svreca, Neel, Marco Shuttle, Reeko, Psyk, Refracted, and many more. Furthermore, this paved the way for his later recordings on labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Camera Magmatica, Aura Dinamica, and more which have given him international recognition for D-Leria.

Martyn Päsch continues to rise in the Global Scene of Electronic Music.

In his work as a producer, we can find a wide range of styles varying from Deep Techno, Experimental, Ambient and Abstract Sounds of Techno.

In the beginning of 2018, he started his own record label called KVLTÖ RECORDS, focused on Deep Techno, Ambient, Experimental, Hypnotic and Techno sounds.

Since this moment he is working very ambitious on various projects, collaborations and other intentions in which Martyn Päsch not only seeks for musical diversity, but also aims to excite and at best give the recipient food for thought and dream.

Frequency Machine is a recently started project in this 2022. 

This artist is passionate about life, he visualizes and describes his music as having great artistic and expressive value, implying that through his frequencies he can reach the most remote places that a human being can explore. 

In general, frequency feels quite attracted to Deep, dub, experimental, ambient, textured, hypnotic, minimalist, IDM sounds. His sound expressions have climatic, polyrhythmic variations, always trying to make an adequate curve, he is very extroverted; characterized by its versatility, vision and innovation between variables of multiple sounds. 

He also expresses his great attachment to the sounds of nature or very organic and shamanic sounds to express how much he loves the world and mother earth. 

Frequency Machine's musical inspiration comes from his environment, his family, his friends, the public and his life in Medellin / Colombia.

British maestro Massano follows up his ‘Solitude’ release with four fresh cuts full of wistful emotion and solemnity.

Title track ‘System’ opens the EP with a jagged riff, sombre low end and spinetingling melody. Next is his rework of ‘Drown’ by Øostil & Juan Hansen, which utilises a haunting vocal to tantalise your very essence. ‘Odyssey’ features an almighty breakdown and galloping drums to get the energy pumping. The Ingolstadt-based is a well-known face of the city's nightlife, where she's holding a residency at the local club institution Suxul for more than seven years now. Together with her partner in crime Drew, the talented twenty-something also hosted the event series 'Artefakt' welcoming guests like Answer Code Request, Antigone, Kobosil or Etapp Kyle. 
Since 2017 she was also part of the MMA (MixedMunichArts) artist family in Munich, where she played alongside numerous Techno heavyweights like Radio Slave, Helena Hauff or Randomer. After the MMA had to close in 2019, she was regularly moving the dancefloor at Blitz Club in Munich.

This composition includes a captivating palate of dark, aural textures painted amongst an evocative atmosphere tied together with the original track’s saturated vocals. Ege Yanik takes a straightforward approach cutting the atmospheric veil with intertwining, 16th note leads and basslines. MPathy contrasts this by creating a rising tension using swelling pads, a mysterious intensifying horn lead carefully layered on his patented groove groundwork. Two dynamically contrasting depictions of inky, soul stirring enchantment.

Shelley, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun. 
Her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected, with a vibe strongly rooted in nature dressed in deep techno. Her sessions blend hypnotic & percussive sounds with dubby & organic atmospheres.

Through this combination, she achieves to impact mind & soul in an unique way, channeling her love for the deeper electronics and turning it into beautiful sonic sceneries.
