Harmony was born as a collective of friends oriented towards an organic, dubby, hypnotic techno sound. From organizing parties they developed into a label that has worked with artists like Feral, Shoal, Ness, Alfred Czital or Jamida.
This new vinyl release by Alan Backrop, is venturing into new soundscapes closer to trance and electro, without hesitation mixing sound paints and dividing horizons. Listen to premiere of Italian producer Ness version to the Line B here at 44,100Hz Towers.

NFR016 delivers Moscow based producer Sergei Makarov with his fresh project '04061' launched in 2020. 04061 explores the connection between modern ambient and techno music. Taking inspiration from fragile nature surrounding cities of dust that we live in, this project aims to depict the landscape how it is, acting as a witness of inevitable change. 04061 is an abstract concept without any meaning, numbers are used for identification purposes only.

To fulfilL this already great journey we also invited some familiar names to our listeners: Mechanist - we can pretty much call him 'a pioneer' guest to our label who's amazing music goes as far back as NFR002. Our this year's discovery SAMSQN from Amsterdam who absolutely smashed it in his NFR014 contribution, Rauda from Argentina with his ambient pieces that got very much positive feedback in NFRVA02 release and last to mention, our new addition which we are very exited about - Petit Astronaute.

A1. Polygonia - Division Right from the start the listener is cast into orbit with driving percussion and abstract sound effects. Soon they are followed with a morphing bass sound and cymbals which lock the groove into place, cranking the drive to the max. As the track progresses the landscape of sound reveals its nature with metallic quality, like schrapnel from a barren city. Truly a Deep Techno banger which will without a doubt fill a dance floor. A2. MTRL - Taris The listener is slowly submerged into the waves of percussive bass sounds and menacing sweeps of noise which remind of a storm in a desert, the horizon only slightly glimmering behind the veil of sand. Soon the listener is introduced with a pounding kick drum, almost making the landscape seem even more ruthless as the track progresses. Quality, heady Deep Techno. B1. Polygonia - Division [Claudio PRC Remix] The hypnotic Techno maestro Claudio PRC twists the idea of the original track into a mind explorative voyage with a triplet feel. The remix is shrouded in melancholy with distant pad sounds, which add a nice tension to the track. As usual, a brilliant remix from Claudio PRC. B2. MTRL - Taris [Mary Yuzovskaya Remix] On the remix the Berlin based producer is molding the source material into a driving and psychedelic track, functional yet synapse tingling. Now the bass has a bit more liquid-like quality and the overall soundscape is more abstract. Hallucinatory effects of noise are filling the spaces between the sounds, almost like being surrounded with faint whispers. Driving and psychedelic Deep Techno done with finesse.

Press Release:
It is our absolute pleasure to announce the first compilation on QEONE. This wonderful collection of tracks is really unique as all pieces are based on one concept which is completely sound design oriented. The idea behind this release series is to have one material or substance which will then be interpreted by the artists. For this very first compilation we chose the material Wood. In the end the artists will also reveal some specific techniques which they used for the production of each track to transform this project also into a skill sharing platform for followers to learn from and get inspired. It offers a great opportunity to get insight into various approaches to one topic. The artist duo Primal Code created a wonderful sonical piece ‚Adansonia‘ with rich harmonies and the wood as the percussion sounds which appear very watery at the same time. The overall aesthetic has a very glitchy character and catches the listener with its intriguing bassline. Dycide picked up the topic in a very groovy and dry way with his track ‚Tapio‘. The wood feels quite close to the ear and transports a warm feeling. You can clearly recognize the strong bass music influence of the artist, which makes this track really captivating. Cafe de la Jungle produced a minimal influenced dancefloor tool ‚QMMF‘ which has a crystal clear yet organic sound aesthetic. The high wooden textures and tones give this piece an amazing tension which sucks the listener right into it. On the other hand Saša Delimar created a very wooden and also bass influenced track ‚What if...‘. It paints a great picture enriched with lots of wood sounds in the percussion parts and complex textures. Polygonia presents a very dubby side in her production ‚iunua‘ using a captivating groove. Next to that the main element first appears to be one of the many wooden elements but then reveals itself as a synthesizer which modulates between various timbres. FTP Doctor created a wooden percussion texture nightmare called ‚Aaaah Naja‘ with intense vocals and some 808 like basslines which modulate the hell out of this groove. This piece really gets to the brain and makes dancefloors melt because of its fierce power. Mordio created a strong floor tool in his production ‚Ancient Grove‘. The driving character of this one gets even more impact through the two main elements, the wonderfully designed wooden stab and the textural intriguing main synthesizer. Michał Wolski‘s production ‚Where Have You Come From‘ touches the deepest side of things with his drony impulses and hypnotising vibes. He created all of the sounds using one little sample in which he recorded two wooden kitchen tools. The processing of it turned out so versatile that nobody would suppose that it is only featuring that one source sound. Kangding Ray produced a great dancefloor machine called ‚Ebeniste‘ with more than crispy sounding wooden drums and a crazy driving beat. The whole thing gets rounded up by a synth sequence which intensifies the impact on the body. Tenzia‘s track ‚Branches‘ tells a vibrant story with various chapters in its arrangement, highlighting the beautiful textures which wood has to offer.

"Radiate" starts off with a pulsating kick drum and a hypnotic sequence that sets the tone for the entire track. As the razor-sharp hi-hats enter the mix, they add intensity and energy, propelling the listener deeper into the sonic experience. Accompanied by haunting pads lurking in the background, the atmosphere becomes increasingly ethereal and enigmatic, drawing the audience into a realm of profound musicality.

Midway through the journey, an ominous bass line emerges, adding an extra layer of mysticism to the already intoxicating composition. It weaves its way through the intricate layers of sound, enhancing the overall depth and richness of the track.

"Forest On Stasys' latest release is influenced by the minimal, tribal sound of the nineties, on the deepest, most abstract level.
'In Search Of Balance' exhibits nature's strength. The field recordings create the environment; the deep synths provide dimension and the repetitive percussive rhythms energize the drum patterns. 
The long and reverberated pads are reminiscent of old tribal ceremonies, simulating a mantra that resonates with the listener. A brief story told in 4 musical chapters."

Forest On Stasys - In Search Of Balance [Kizen Records]

Blame the treacherous winds of COVID pandemic and its concomitant quarantine, excessive drinking, zoom parties, and slow internet connections, but Delayed has clearly been binging on the dark sounds of dub techno lately.  We've certainly written our share of dub techno reviews.  And just when our dub techno crate started to overflow and to aurally blend into one giant ball of dark beats and muffled sounds, salvation comes to us straight out of the Vatican…or, at least, Rome.

Luigi Tozzi, one of the pre-eminent producers in hypnotic techno--a grey cardinal of dark beats if you will--must have either heard our muted cries at Delayed or must have also overdosed on dub during the pandemic: his remix of Orion's Lie takes a dubby dark skeleton and injects it with much-needed drive and energy.  The track is still a dark, sparse echo-y goodness, but it's been wakened from its dub coma by delicate percussive fluttering and distant atmospheric drops of sound that are Luigi's calling cards and that balance the track so well. It is as if a colorful little bird flew into a dungeon, surprising everyone and diluting the gloom. Here's hoping that this is not a canary in a coal mine!
