I know I should not even watch to this huge  masterpiece being only at my second year of piano; but I could not resist.  I tried  and I don't completely dislike what I hear. So decided to put it  here hoping Chopin will forgive me. This is probably the most known of Chopin's production, I can really undesrtand why! Although  most known pieces of an author often are not my preferred,  I cannot deny this is absolutely awesome, irresisteable in playing : charming, poetry, italian belcanto, eveything is here. So deep, joyfully and lovely at the same time. Thank you for listening

The Jane Campion Film "The PIANO"  got  its  soundtrack  by  the  minimal music  composer  Michael Nyman, who created an exceptional soundtrack to the  very  spheric  and  dense  movie.
The  major cast  was  Holly Hunter  and  Harvey  Keitel besides  Sam Neill.
Bastian Lee Jones   chose the piece "The Heart Asks Pleasure First", which is his 14th recording of 2015.

Bach  Marcello Adagio - Concerto In D Minor

This symphonic intermezzo in the opera Thais, composed by Jules Massenet, was originally written for violin and orchestra.

I first heard this played in a piano arrangement when pianist Rebecca Bogart played it for the Memorial and Celebration of Life for our truly wonderful friend Carmen Reaves, in 2008.

  I thought it was beautiful and it felt apropos, so i got the sheet music for piano.  

 This was recorded on the Yamaha P80 digital piano, using a hint of strings, since it was written for that.  Both Carmen and I shared a strong tendency toward sentimentality although that isn't  popular in many circles today.

This is the best arrangement I've heard so far, and it's been stuck in my head for a while. I learned this in around 1 week. Tempo may not be that stable, but I think I pretty much nailed the notes.
