Johnny Garvin is 22 years of age from Glenamoy in North County Mayo in Ireland. Having always had a passion for country music and growing up with a large family steeped in Irish country music, Johnny became known on a local level performing in pubs and local dance halls. On a trip to Donegal Johnny's dream of getting established in the country music industry was to become a reality when he was introduced to the legendary Queen Of Country & Irish music Margo O'Donnell. Margo was very impressed hearing Johnny perform and immediately she took steps to making Johnny's dream become a reality. Johnny then started recording with Bounce Studios in County Leitrim under the professional hands of Jim Corbett and Paul Johnson. Johnny is set to release his debut single "In God's Care", a song that was specially written for him by singer/songwriter Joe McShane and Margo O'Donnell. His album is due to be released at the end of the year.

Founded in 1970, Horslips released 12 genre-defining albums and toured relentlessly throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America over their original 10 year career. Back home, Eamon Carr, Barry Devlin, Johnny Fean, Jim Lockhart and Charles O’Connor took provincial Irish dancehalls by storm, creating a new rock music circuit and infusing the country’s disenfranchised youth with a new sense of cultural pride. Margo is the leading lady of country and folk music in Ireland. Often referred to as “Ireland’s Country Queen”, Margo has comfortably crossed the lines between country, folk, showband, ballad and rebel for five decades.
Born Margaret Catherine O’Donnell in 1951, Margo was raised in Kincasslagh, County Donegal. In 1964 she joined The Keynotes showband and toured Ireland following her father’s premature death. Margo was still only 13 at the time. Her first single in 1968 Bonny Irish Boy was a huge hit and many others followed. Although official sales figures from the period are unreliable, it is often said that Margo sold substantially more records than The Beatles in Ireland around that time.

Duets with Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, George Jones and other international country stars have been highlights of Margo’s enduring career. She has also collaborated and made great friends closer to home with many of Ireland’s favourite singers including Philomena Begley, Big Tom, Larry Cunningham, Maura O’Connell and of course her younger brother Daniel O’Donnell. Horslips  bass player has six months sentence quashed  Bass player with the Horslips group, Barry ‘Barry’ Devlin has had a recent sentence quashed. The sentence which began 
“Six months after their concert with the Ulster Orchestra...” has been quashed on the grounds of inaccuracy.  The sentence should read: “Nine months after their concert with the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, 
Horslips are releasing the album of the concert on November 25th.”  Titled ‘Horslips Live With The Ulster Orchestra’ the album features the extended sequences from The Táin and The Book Of Invasions as well 
as the four encore tracks which the band played on the night.   The orchestrations were the work of Brian Byrne who also conducted.   Mr. Devlin has offered an unconditional apology to Horslips fans everywhere and promises to be more accurate in future.  www.horslips.ie

Tupelo are four young men who take the essence of deep south, dixie-style, fiddle-led acoustic and combine it with gutsy Irish-folk in the vein of our country’s great balladeers. Their music is a flurry of roots, rockabilly, bluegrass, country, folk and rock ‘n’ roll… often displayed all in the same song.

The band’s front man and songwriter James Cramer delivers a tough, honest take on bad times and good times, struggles and triumphs, high spirits and solemn hopes… all in his own untainted accent, all in his own untainted words.

Tupelo owes its name to Van Morrison’s Tupelo Honey album, a favourite of James and a massive influence on his songwriting. James says Emmylou Harris in part inspired the set up of the group. “I saw an Emmylou Harris performance on TV and I knew I had to have a fiddle in the band. It worked from the first song. You can search all your life and never find the right people but it was finally together and that was the start of Tupelo.” 
Amongst others James sees The Band, Shane McGowan, Bob Dylan and John Lee Hooker as the biggest influences on the band.

Being one of the hardest working bands in Ireland means Tupelo’s live shows are something special to look forward to. They were recently voted 'Best Folk/Specialist Act 2013' by Hot Press magazine readers.

Tupelo's forthcoming album 'Push On', was produced by Joe Chester (Ryan Sheridan) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Bon Iver, Alabama Shakes, Brusce Springsteen, Paul Simon) in Sterling Sound, NYC.
