A 30th anniversary  tribute to one of the greatest Irish singers of the 20th century, Luke Kelly.
I have used a recording of solo version of the Rocky Road to Dublin he performed as the vocal track and embellished is with a similar arrangement of my version of the same song.

While worshiping a golden calf

They carved out of power and wealth

If your Jesus bows to money and men

You don’t know the man I know

But you built a cross out of politics

History’s heavy with the blood

Of those forced to kneel or burn

This country fled the pulpit’s fist

So conscience could be free

Yet now they legislate their prayers

And call it liberty

Care for the poor.
